Hyperlipidemia, a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, can potentially be alleviated by dietary antioxidants. This study explored the relationship between hyperlipidemia and Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI), which measures antioxidant intake from carotenoids, selenium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E. Analyzing data 27,493 participants aged 20 older National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted 2001 2018, we used weighted regression models to assess this association while adjusting multiple covariates. Restricted cubic splines were also applied check any non-linear relationships. Findings revealed that higher CDAI scores significantly correlated with lower prevalence. Specifically, each unit increase in log-transformed was linked 14% decrease (OR = 0.86, 95% CI: 0.77-0.95). Participants top quartile had 15% prevalence compared those bottom 0.85, No significant observed (p 0.822). In conclusion, increased intake, as measured CDAI, is associated reduced hyperlipidemia, underscoring role of antioxidants its management.

Because of its rapid progression and frequently poor prognosis, stroke is the third major cause death in Europe first one China. Many independent studies demonstrated sufficient space for prevention interventions primary care ischemic defined as most cost-effective protection vulnerable subpopulations against health-to-disease transition. Although several identified molecular patterns specific IS body fluids, none these approaches has yet been incorporated into treatment guidelines. The advantages disadvantages individual fluids are thoroughly analyzed throughout paper. For example, multiomics based on a minimally invasive approach utilizing blood components recommended real-time monitoring, due to particularly high level dynamics system. On other hand, tear fluid more stable system non-invasive patient-friendly holistic appropriate health risk assessment innovative screening programs management. Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a chronic metabolic disorder with heterogeneous etiology encompassing societal and behavioral risk factors in addition to genetic environmental susceptibility. The cardiovascular consequences of account for more than two-thirds mortality among people T2D. Not only does T2D shorten life expectancy, but it also lowers quality associated extremely high health expenditures since diabetic complications raise both direct indirect healthcare costs. An increasing body research indicates connection between gut microbial traits, as numerous alterations the intestinal microorganisms have been noted pre-diabetic individuals. These include pro-inflammatory bacterial patterns, increased permeability, endotoxemia, hyperglycemia-favoring conditions, such alteration glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) secretion. Restoring homeostasis can be very beneficial preventing co-treating improving antidiabetic therapy outcomes. This review summarizes characteristics "diabetic" microbiota metabolites produced by species that worsen or ameliorate progression, suggesting microbiota-targeted strategies restore eubiosis regulate blood glucose. Nutritional supplementation, diet, physical exercise are known play important roles T2D, here their effects on discussed, non-pharmacological approaches greatly help management highlighting importance tailoring treatments individual needs.

Changing poor dietary habits is effective for treating metabolic syndrome (MetS). Despite the global reputation of Mediterranean diet (MD) health, research on its link to MetS limited, especially in non-Mediterranean regions. This study aimed investigate relationship between MD and MetS. Data from 2007 2020 NHANES were analysed using multiple logistic regression, restricted cubic spline (RCS) subgroup analysis. Among 20,991 participants, a negative association score (MDS) prevalence was observed. RCS regression indicated linear relationship. Subgroup analysis revealed significant most groups, except those with high school education, other Hispanics, non-Hispanic blacks. In American population, greater adherence associated reduced risk syndrome, emphasising protective effects relevance public health strategies. Future should focus promoting adoption investigating causal mechanisms impact specific components through longitudinal studies.
