Accurate insights into the spatial distribution of cultivated areas, land use for effective agricultural management, and improvement food security planning, especially in developing countries. Therefore, this study examined impact changes population growth on wheat crop productivity. First, by incorporating more than three decades satellite data (1990–2022) different Landsat missions with machine learning algorithms, high-confidence classes were defined features, including cropland. Second, grown area was identified using cropland extraction based acreage assessment method (CLE-WAAM). Third, dynamics applying an exponential model to forecast predict demand. These findings necessitate integrated methodological development demand supply mechanisms two-step floating catchment (2SFCA) approach a thorough analysis socioeconomic developments. The results revealed that transformed non-cropland, percentage 8.01. A 79% rise occured between 1990 2022, projected increase 112% 2030. Specifically, cultivation decreased 28%, despite stagnant parameters observed since 2000. proposed contributes efficiently United Nations' sustainable goal (02: Zero Hunger) satellite, geospatial, statistical integration.

Due to the increases in agriculture and industry sector as well high population, lack of water is becoming a major problem Middle East especially arid regions. Saudi Arabia needs more groundwater research explorations because its higher use no source freshwater. Assessing zonation semi-arid locations essential due significant degree variation depth, aquifer features, topographical characteristics, insufficient precipitation. Mapping prospective zones Al Qunfudhah region southwestern has utilized capability multi-criteria decision approaches (MCDA), Geographic information system (GIS). We have used analytical hierarchy process (AHP) one MCDA that applied achieve objective current study by integrating twelve controlling factors. These factors are represented thematic layers; slope, precipitation, soil type, land use/cover (LULC), drainage density (DD), normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), curvature, topographic position (TPI), Terrain Ruggedness Index (TRI), Lineament Density (LD). layers combined with GIS delineate potentialities. All were classified weighted according their importance effect on zones. Their weights evaluated using pairwise comparison matrix. The present shows potential (GWPZs) map five groups ranging between very zone an area 23781.06 Km2 represents 4.04 % studied area, poor GWPZ 182944.4 31.09 area. AHP model suggests lineament density, important for determining potentiality than other physiographic study's findings will be helpful developing practical strategies region's supply. This analysis how methodology may broad coastal basin. give makers select suitable sites potential.

Abstract The contamination of natural mineral bottled drinking water with trace, heavy metals and rare-earth elements is a growing concern globally, especially in regions limited access to safe sources. In South Africa, the safety remains critical issue due potential health risks associated metal exposure. This study aimed evaluate physicochemical parameters alongside assess available using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry analysis. A total 21 samples from different brands were collected analysed for concentrations including Pb, Cd, As, Cr, Ni, Ba Hg, as well such pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen solids among others. results revealed within acceptable ranges, indicating overall quality. Varying levels across observed Al, Fe, Mg, Ca, K Mn some exceeding permissible limits set by WHO SAWQG mean concentration decreasing toxicity order Sr > Al Cu Cr Zn Fe As Co U Ni Cs Pb Cd Hg. values chronic daily intake (CDI) adults are Li V Be Hg below limits. estimated both HQ HI (with 2.07E−03 range 0.00 1.76E−02) all found be less than 1. value ILCR 4.67E−06, 2.76E−05, which insignificant level cancer risk guidance limit 1.00E−06 1.00E−04. show that consumption Africa may not cause any significant populace. However, long-time effects few exceeded needed considered. Our findings contribute ongoing discourse on quality assurance, offering insights into integrity supply chain Africa. research only serves foundation regulatory measures but also underscores significance maintaining high-quality standards industry public environmental sustainability.

Monitoring agricultural land over vast geographical areas presents challenges due to the absence of accurate, comprehensive and precise data, which has become a complex process that is difficult do in terms both timespans consistency. Hence, this study an improved approach for identification by utilizing capabilities Sentinel-1 Sentinel-2 satellites with variety vegetation non-vegetation indices machine learning algorithms. The Multispectral Correlation Mapper (MCM) Random Forest (RF) algorithms are adopted train different lands, crop types sowing cultivation seasons. 45-bands mega-file data cube (MFDC) fusion each season incorporates essential features derived from datasets seasons, i.e. Rabi (winter-spring season) Kharif (summer-autumn season). proposed method demonstrated resilience when applied satellite while effectively reducing impact non-agricultural elements such as shrubs, grass, bare soil orchards. results demonstrate notable ability differentiate between resulting high level precision measuring extent cultivated during seasons area 626,947 acres 590,858 acres, respectively. total area, ascertained observation cropping pattern modifications entire year (June 2021–May 2022) 635,655 acres. validation exercise shows higher accuracy cropland, overall 98.8%, kappa 0.97, user 98.69% producer 99.13%. Additionally, it was spatially compared ESRI, ESA MODIS cropland layers government statistical data. Furthermore, research investigates temporal dynamics growth phases using spectral bands indices. This improves provides useful insights into phenology.
