Abstract The Basidiomycota constitutes a major phylum of the kingdom Fungi and is second in species numbers to Ascomycota. present work provides an overview all validly published, currently used basidiomycete genera date single document. An outline provided, which includes 1928 names, with 1263 synonyms, are distributed 241 families, 68 orders, 18 classes four subphyla. We provide brief notes for each accepted genus including information on classification, number species, type life mode, habitat, distribution, sequence information. Furthermore, three phylogenetic analyses combined LSU, SSU, 5.8s, rpb1, rpb2, ef1 datasets subphyla Agaricomycotina, Pucciniomycotina Ustilaginomycotina conducted, respectively. Divergence time estimates provided family level 632 from 62 168 families 605 genera. Our study indicates that divergence times 406–430 Mya, 211–383 orders 99–323 largely consistent previous studies. In this study, phylogenetically supported were dated, Agaricomycotina diverging 27–178 85–222 79–177 Mya. as additional criterion ranking evidence resolve taxonomic problems system, also better understanding their phylogeny evolution.

This paper provides an updated classification of the Kingdom Fungi (including fossil fungi) and fungus-like taxa.Five-hundred twenty-three (535) notes are provided for newly introduced taxa changes that have been made since previous outline.In discussion, latest taxonomic in Basidiomycota Mycosphaerellales broadly discussed.Genera listed Mycosphaerellaceae confirmed by DNA sequence analyses, while doubtful genera (DNA sequences being unavailable but traditionally accommodated Mycosphaerellaceae) discussion.Problematic Glomeromycota also discussed based on phylogenetic results.

Societal Impact Statement Research and publication of the planet's remaining plant fungal species as yet unknown to science is essential if we are address United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15 “Life on Land” which includes protection terrestrial ecosystems halting biodiversity loss. Furthermore, until fully scientifically evaluated their potential new foods, medicines, products would help SDGs 1,2,3, 8. Summary Scientific discovery, including naming taxa, important because without a scientific name, invisible possibilities researching its ecology, applications threats, conserving it, greatly We review discoveries in kingdoms, based largely names taxa published 2019 indexed Plant Names Index Fungorum. Numbers both kingdoms were similar with 1942 1882 fungi. However, while >50% have likely been discovered, >90% fungi remain unknown. Abstract The cosmopolitan plant genus Clematis contains many climbing species that can be found worldwide. occurs in the wild and is grown commercially for horticulture. Microfungi on were collected from Belgium, China, Italy, Thailand UK.
