Junewangiaceae (Sordariomycetes) is a family with relatively recent taxonomic history and small number of described species. However, major challenge within this the inability to distinguish between various genera based solely on phylogenetic analysis. In study, we introduced two new species, Junewangia guangxiensis J. synnematica, which formed independent clades in analysis displayed characteristics that were easily distinguishable from other species family. Additionally, three previously known viz., Dictyosporella aquatica, D. thailandensis, are reported China for first time. Furthermore, bambusicola documented freshwater habitat. The results enhance our understanding provide some suggestions addressing problems future.

Anamorphic chaetosphaeriaceous fungi exhibit high morphological variability and are distributed worldwide across terrestrial aquatic habitats. During an ongoing taxonomic study of microfungi, two intriguing hyphomycetes were collected from dead wood bamboo stems in China Thailand. A polyphasic approach, combining characteristics phylogenetic analysis LSU ITS sequence data, revealed that these represent new genera within Chaetosphaeriaceae. Pseudolomaantha Submultiguttulispora proposed for genera, they non-phialidic phialidic asexual morphs, respectively. Pseudolomaanthathailandica gen. et sp. nov. is characterized by a sporidesmium-like morph with macronematous, mononematous conidiophores; monoblastic conidiogenous cells, pyriform to obclavate, rostrate conidia bearing apical appendage. Submultiguttulisporamultiseptata distinguished conidiophores, mono- polyphialidic fusiform or ellipsoidal-fusiform, pale brown olive green filiform, hyaline appendages at both ends. Three isolates of interest were collected during an investigation freshwater fungi from wetlands in the karst regions Guizhou Province, Southwest China. Phylogenetic analyses using ITS, LSU, SSU, and tef-1α gene have revealed placements these Melanommataceae (Pleosporales, Dothideomycetes). Based on morphological phylogenetic evidence, three new species are introduced: Byssosphaeria chishuiensis sp. nov. , Camposporium guizhouense C. aquaticum is sister to B. villosa forms a basal branch within Melanommataceae. chishuiense similar ascal size but differs ascomata ascospore sizes, ascospores lack appendages. they form distinct lineage genus. Morphologically, resembles its conidial shape size. Additionally, PHI analysis performed further reveal that no significant recombination with related taxa. Neobyssosphaeria synonymized under accordingly, clematidis comb. proposed accommodate . The descriptions, illustrations, notes novel taxa provided along updated tree Two synopses also provided.

We are investigating saprobic Ascomycota in Guizhou Province, China. Fungal specimens collected from dead wood were identified based on morphological characteristics and multi-gene phylogenetic analyses of ITS, SSU, LSU, β-tubulin, ef1-α, rpb2 sequence data. Three novel species, Neoroussoellaguizhouensis, Roussoellaguizhouensis, Xenodidymellaguizhouensis, introduced, along with one new geographical record, Xenoroussoellatriseptata. This study contributes to our understanding the diversity Province classification Roussoellaceae.

Neohelicosporium species are a group of helicosporous hyphomycetes with the potential to produce novel bioactive natural compounds. During our investigation on hyphomycetes, six isolates were collected from freshwater and terrestrial habitats in tropical subtropical regions southern China. Based multi-gene phylogenetic analyses (LSU-ITS- tef 1-α- rpb 2) morphological comparisons taxa, two new ( N. guizhouense wuzhishanense ) introduced. Detailed micro-morphological descriptions, illustrations, DNA molecular data provided for newly introduced confirm their taxonomic placements.

This study focuses on exploring diversity woody litter Thailand. Wood samples were collected forest areas Chiang Rai Mai Provinces Thailand examined for fungal fructifications. Fungal isolates obtained their morphological sequence data characterised. Micromorphology associated with multilocus phylogeny of ITS, LSU SSU identified three as novel ( inthanonensis , K. saprophytica zizyphifolii ) besides new host records tectonae xishuangbannaensis . Helicosporium Neohelicomyces are morphologically similar their asexual morphs but can be distinguished based on molecular data. In this study, new species, represents fourth sexual species within genus, characterized by yellow-brown ascomata fusiform ascospores. Freshwater fungi consist of a highly diverse group organisms in freshwater habitats worldwide. During survey fungal diversity across different regions Jiangxi Province, China, four were collected. To study their phylogenetic relationships, the internal transcribed spacer (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2), large subunit (28S, LSU), small (18S, SSU), and RNA polymerase II (RPB2) genes selected for analyses. Based on morphology coupled with analysis, these strains confirmed to belong Phaeoisaria, Pleurothecium, Pseudodactylaria. Among them, three as new species, namely, Pleurothecium lignicola (Pleurotheciaceae), Pseudodactylaria jiangxiensis (Pseudodactylariaceae), Ps. (Pseudodactylariaceae). One species was identified Phaeoisaria filiformis record this China. All compared other similar detailed descriptions, illustrations, data provided.
