Within
the
family
Amylocorticiaceae,
conspicuous
morphological
affinities
exist
among
previously
defined
species
Irpicodon
pendulus,
Plicaturopsis
crispa
and
Plicatura
nivea.
With
aid
of
macro-
micro-morphological
characters
phylogenetic
evidence
based
on
3-gene
datasets,
a
comprehensive
reassessment
generic
boundaries
within
these
taxa
was
conducted.
Upon
reviewing
systematic
position
included,
three
genera
emerged
as
well-defined
monophyletic
clade.
Based
genetic
divergence
observed,
coupled
with
robust
support
for
monophyly,
similarities
in
ecological
roles,
congruence
micromorphological
characteristics,
we
suggest
revised
genus
concept
that
synonymizes

Plicaturopsis)
earliest
established

Abstract
Fungi
are
one
of
the
most
diverse
groups
organisms
with
an
estimated
number
species
in
range
2–3
million.
The
higher-level
ranking
fungi
has
been
discussed
framework
molecular
phylogenetics
since
Hibbett
et
al.,
and
definition
higher
ranks
(e.g.,
phyla)
‘true
fungi’
have
revised
several
subsequent
publications.
Rapid
accumulation
novel
genomic
data
advancements
now
facilitate
a
robust
precise
foundation
for
classification
within
kingdom.
This
study
provides
updated
kingdom
,
drawing
upon
comprehensive
phylogenomic
analysis
Holomycota
which
we
outline
well-supported
nodes
fungal
tree
explore
more
contentious
groupings.
We
accept
19

Four
new
fungi,
viz.

The
Qinghai-Xizang
Plateau,
known
for
its
high
altitude,
geological
history
of
plate
collision,
crustal
uplift,
and
special
ecology
factors,
provides
an
ideal
environment
studying
fungal
biodiversity
in
extreme
environmental
conditions.

species
within
the
Conocybe,
containing
secondary
metabolites

as
