To investigate accommodative and binocular characteristics in myopic patients with age-related accommodation deficiency, to the relationship of amplitude (AA) other parameters. Myopic between 40 50 years old undergo refractive surgery were enrolled. Accommodative function, including AA, positive negative relative (PRA NRA), response (binocular cross cylinder, BCC), facility (BAF) examined. Background Increasing prevalence of screens among young people is a notable characteristic the modern digital era. The study aimed to explore and associated factors migraine headache (MH) tension-type (TTH) Bangladeshi students continuing online education. Methods A total 771 were selected conveniently using quota sampling method. pretested semistructured self-administered questionnaire containing background information, Headache Screening Questionnaire-English Version, Patient Health Questionnaire-9, Speech, Spatial Qualities Hearing scale Insomnia Severity Index was used for data collection. Multivariate logistic regression analysis conducted relationship between different headaches screen use. Results MH, TTH mixed (both MH TTH) in population 26.07%, 47.08% 14.75%, respectively. Longer duration (>12 months, adjusted ORs (AORs): 2.83, 95% CI 0 1.00 8.00), history eye problem (AOR: 1.48, 1.01 2.17), insomnia 1.53, 2.33) moderate-to-severe depression 2.35, 1.55 3.56) significantly with headache. This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of dry eye disease (DED) symptoms, their associated factors, and impact on quality life (QOL) mental health among medical students during COVID-19 pandemic using online surveys. Participants completed questionnaires covering demography, history, personal data. The Thai version Dry Eye-related Quality-of-Life Score (DEQS-Th) was used for DED screening. QOL challenges (support, coping, stress, depression) were evaluated by EuroQoL-5 dimensions-5 levels (EQ-5D-5L) Thymometer questionnaires. A total 449 participants analyzed, with a mean age 21.8 years 61.5% female. symptoms 60.4% (95%CI 55.7-64.8). DEQS-Th score, EQ-5D-5L all aspects significantly worse in compared non-DED participants. Associated factors included preexisting (p = 0.001), refractive errors 0.007), allergic conjunctivitis artificial tears use < decreased score 0.001). highlighted high its negative QoL health. Previous studies suggest that performance in visual inspection and typical vigilance tasks depend on time task load. European regulation mandates security officers (screeners) take a break or change after 20 min of X-ray baggage screening. However, longer screening durations could reduce staffing challenges. We investigated the effects load four-month field study with screeners. At an international airport, 22 screeners inspected images cabin for up to 60 min, while control group (N = 19) screened min. Background and Objectives: Primary headaches are highly prevalent among medical students, negatively impacting their health academic performance. Excessive electronic device use has been implicated as a risk factor, in contrast to physical activity, which may be protective factor; however, comprehensive data lacking, especially for Saudi trainees. This study aims investigate the associations between use, exercise, students. Materials Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 504 students at Jazan University completed an online survey collecting sociodemographic factors, headache characteristics/triggers, habits, exercise frequency, impacts. Descriptive analyses summarized sample characteristics. Logistic regression identified predictors of 12-month prevalence. Results: Overall, 83% reported experiencing past year. High prevalence was observed females (86.6%) third-year (88.3%). Using devices ≥4 h daily associated with higher adjusted odds (OR 13.89, 95% CI 1.96–98.54) compared ≤1 daily. Low activity (exercising 1 day vs. 7 days week) also increased 3.89, 1.61–9.42). Headaches impairing productivity 4.39, 2.28–8.45) exacerbated by 10.37, 2.02–53.35) were further susceptibility. Purpose To quantify the global impact of vision impairment in individuals aged 65 years and older between 1990 2019, segmented by disease, age, sociodemographic index (SDI). Methods Using Global Burden Diseases 2019 (GBD 2019) dataset, a retrospective demographic evaluation was undertaken to ascertain magnitude loss over this period. Metrics evaluated included case numbers, prevalence rates per 100,000 individuals, shifts via average annual percentage changes (AAPCs) lived with disability (YLDs). To evaluate the relationship between myopia and potential "myopiagenic" digital habits (excessive screen time, near face-device distance or low ambient light level). 82 university students (21 ± 3 years) underwent a comprehensive optometric examination, including subjective refraction axial length (AL) measurements. Digital were objectively measured using mobile application (app) capturing distance, level number of interruptions larger than 20″ per day (called "events").
