The investigated role and predictive weight impulsivity depressive brooding variables Internet addiction, using hierarchical regression analysis. participants were administered Uso-Abuso e Dipendenza da [Internet Use-Abuse Addiction] (UADI-2), Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11 (BIS-11), Ruminative Response Scale (RRS). In terms percentage distribution, 28% full dependency range, while 34.7% demonstrated abuse behavior. results highlighted not only value impulsiveness (β 0.323) ruminative thinking 0.258), but also gender -0.205) addiction. Thus, male showed higher levels with scores way thinking. shows that issue question is significantly present among adolescents; addition, targeted awareness programmes psycho-educational clinical interventions to promote greater emotional cognitive control would be necessary as preventive mitigating measure. Psychological can help increase self-awareness, develop regulation impulse control, correct maladaptive cognitions which are mostly driven by style.

Epidemiological studies on problematic Internet use and gaming conducted so far have mainly been carried out with unrepresentative self-selected convenience samples, resulting in unreliable prevalence rates. This study estimates the of a large sample Spanish adolescents (N = 41,507) identifies risk protective factors for these risky behaviours. Data were collected online using Adolescent Problem Use Scale Gaming Addiction Scale. Using cut-off approach measurement instruments inspired by DSM-5 framework, we found 33% 3.1% gaming. With more conservative ICD-11 rates decreased to 2.98% 1.8% Female gender, higher parents' education, elevated connection time, reporting being after midnight mobile phone class predicted use; whereas male "living situation" where families do not traditional structure or stable environment, time A involving scales that recycle substance criteria (as DSM-5) over-pathologize In contrast, seems provide realistic reliable

Problematic social media use (PSMU) is a behavioral addiction, specific form of problematic Internet associated with the uncontrolled networks. It typical mostly for modern adolescents and young adults, which are first generations fully grown up in era total digitalization society. The biopsychosocial model formation addictions, postulating impact large number biological, psychological, factors on addictive behavior formation, may be quite applicable to PSMU. In this narrative review, we discussed neurobiological risk addiction focus current evidence association between PSMU structural/ functional characteristics brain autonomic nervous system, neurochemical correlations, genetic features. A review literature shows that vast majority mentioned studies were focused computer games generalized (without taking into account consumed content). Even though certain neuroimaging have been conducted PSMU, there practically no research neuropeptide associations date. This fact points extremely high relevance such studies.
