Abstract Energy harvesting modules play an increasingly important role in the development of autonomous self‐powered microelectronic devices. MXenes (i.e., 2D transition metal carbide/nitride) have recently emerged as promising candidates for energy applications due to their excellent electronic conductivity, large specific surface area, and tunable properties. Herein, a perspective on using harvest from various sources environment is presented. First, characteristics that facilitate capturing are systematically introduced preparation strategies derived nanostructures tailored toward such summarized. Abstract Lightweight, ultra-flexible, and robust crosslinked transition metal carbide (Ti 3 C 2 MXene) coated polyimide (PI) (C-MXene@PI) porous composites are manufactured via a scalable dip-coating followed by chemical crosslinking approach. In addition to the hydrophobicity, anti-oxidation extreme-temperature stability, efficient utilization of intrinsic conductivity MXene, interfacial polarization between MXene PI, micrometer-sized pores composite foams achieved. Consequently, show satisfactory X-band electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness 22.5 62.5 dB at density 28.7 48.7 mg cm −3 , leading an excellent surface-specific SE 21,317 g −1 . Moreover, exhibit electrothermal performance as flexible heaters in terms prominent, rapid reproducible, stable effect low voltages superior heat more uniform distribution compared with commercial composed alloy plates. Furthermore, well attached on human body check their electromechanical sensing performance, demonstrating sensitive reliable detection motions wearable sensors. The EMI multifunctionalities, along facile easy-to-scalable manufacturing techniques, imply promising perspectives C-MXene@PI next-generation electronics, aerospace, smart devices.

Abstract Nowadays, photocatalytic technologies are regarded as promising strategies to solve energy problems, and various photocatalysts have been synthesized explored. In this paper, a novel CdS/MoO 2 @Mo C-MXene photocatalyst for H production was constructed by two-step hydrothermal method, where MoO acted binary co-catalyst. the first step, crystals with an egged shape grew on surface of two-dimensional (2D) Mo C MXene via oxidation process in HCl aqueous solution. second CdS nanorods were uniformly assembled ethylenediamine inorganic cadmium source organic sulfur source. The composite 5 wt% exhibits ultrahigh visible-light activity 22,672 µmol/(g·h), which is ∼21% higher than that CdS/Mo C-MXene. composite, metallic nature separates MXene, acts electron-transport bridge between accelerate photoinduced electron transferring. Moreover, band structure changed suppress recombination photogenerated carriers. This compound delivers upgraded evolution performance new pathway preparing low-cost problems future.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials have received tremendous attention because they possess a set of merits not available in bulk materials, such as large specific surface area, low energy barrier for electron transportation and short ion diffusion path. These advantages are desirable especially the electrodes electrochemical storage devices. MXenes, first synthesized 2011 by etching their MAX phase precursors, plural reasons to represent new family 2D materials. Their rich diversity structure composition together with uncommon combination good electrical conductivity hydrophilicity makes themselves outstand whole world. Based on these advantages, MXenes hold great promise various technologically important applications, particularly developing techniques advanced smart systems, portable flexible electronics. There been remarkable research achievements synthesis application MXene-based While routes being continuously reported, novel also routinely discovered, which will undoubtedly help understand fundamental properties expand scope MXenes. Abstract Aero-engine is a key part of aircraft, the operating temperature which being pushed to unprecedented levels for higher engine efficiency and performance. To accomplish gas-inlet aero-engines, applying thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) on hot-section metallic components, or even replacing some components in aero-engines with ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs) environmental-barrier (EBCs) them, are effective methods have been widely accepted. On other hand, increasing causes aircraft more easily be detected, thus stealth necessary engines. Except hottest parts may not need TBCs EBCs due relatively low temperature, but they still protection from oxidation corrosion. Hence, corrosion-resistant essential. In this paper, latest progress above high-temperature protective coatings, i.e., TBCs, EBCs, reviewed, mainly including their materials, fabrication technologies addition, harsh environment, these face many threats such as calcia-magnesia-aluminosilicates (CMAS) attack, causing premature failure also concerned paper. The work would provide comprehensive understanding guidance developing advanced next-generation aero-engines.
