Validation of a shortened version of the Eating Attitude Test (EAT-7) in the Arabic language

Eating
disorders
are
quite
common
around
the
world,
disabling,
and
potentially
lethal;
but
they
remain
so
far
under-captured
subject
to
substantial
delays
in
treatment.
We
propose
through
this
study
develop
validate
a
shortened
version
of
Attitude
Test
(EAT)
Arabic
language
among
non-clinical
Arabic-speaking
Lebanese
participants
from
general
population.1175
enrolled
cross-sectional
study,
based
on
an
online
survey.
The
Test-26
items,
Drunkorexia
Motives
Behaviors
Scales
Anxiety
Scale
were
used
answer
our
objectives.Our
results
confirmed
validity
reliability
questionnaire.
Exploratory
Factor
Analyses
showed
that
all
items
converged
over
one-factor
solution,
with
excellent
Cronbach's
alpha
(>
0.9).
Confirmatory
found
7-item-version
yielded
model
fit.
instrument
also
revealed
strong
evidence
divergent
validity,
being
highly
correlated
measures
anxiety
drunkorexia
motives
behaviors.Findings
provided
supporting
seven-item
structure
scale
(EAT-7)
is
valid,
reliable,
can
be
clinical
practice,
preventive
interventions

research

The
academic
performance
of
faculty
members,

productivity
and
quality,
is
a
crucial
factor
in
determining
aninstitution’s
reputation
ranking.

the

members

Sciences
at
Lebanese
American
University,

factors
that
could
affect
productivity.

per
publication.
Additionally,
assess
effects

findings
