Geospatial techniques are very important tools for the assessment, management and conservation of groundwater as well any natural resources. This study area i.e. Saltora block in Bankura district, West Bengal [WB], India falls under Rarh region [semi-arid] which is prone to water scarcity. Keeping concern about following problems mind, this study, an integrated approach geospatial technique remote sensing geographical information system [GIS] multi influencing factors [MIF] has been applied delineate potential zones study. Six influential like geology, lineament, slope, LULC, drainage density, soil texture have used zones, their influences were assessed by weightage scores using MIF technique. All thematic layers prepared satellite data imageries, conventional sets, etc. GIS environment, all merged factor (MIF) method thus zone [GWPZ] map was constructed a result overlay analysis. The total classified into five classes terms i.e., Very high [5.23%], [36.02%], Moderate [41.8%], Low [15.05%], last low [1.90%]. Based on overall potentiality scenario, Gram Panchayats [GP] blocks ranked TOPSIS statistical reveals that Bamuntore Salma GP first; Tiluri, Dhekit, Saltora, Kanuri second followed Pabra Gogra respectively. final GWPZ delineation validated through ground verification 43 dug wells data. cut-off independent measure ROC-AUC curve employed validate GMS outcome model testing accuracy value 0.837 AUC indicates acceptability > 0.75 considered strong effect. In light aforementioned factors, 0.754, accurately projected potential. So, generated could be preliminary reference site selection exploration.

Water is an indispensable resource without which human survival impossible. Many households in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipal, Ghana, rely on pipe-borne sources for drinking and domestic purposes. However, over years, supply has been inconsistent due to operational bottlenecks bedeviling water distribution agencies. Against this backdrop, paper argues that tapping into groundwater resources could provide practical solutions challenges facing area. little known about spatial of precious as a solution uneven district. Consequently, main objective study map potential zones (GWPZ) area utilizing geospatial techniques. To accurately assess condition area, eight pertinent factors influence recharge were selected. Weights assigned these using Analytic Hierarchy Process superimposed geographic information systems environment generate GWPZ. The resultant was classified five namely very poor, good, excellent. Results demonstrate that, overall, larger proportion (almost 36%) within poor zones. other areas (27%) identified good locations prospecting. Areas close coast mostly found Using functional boreholes proxy validation confirmed 76.5% are suitable sites discovery. These results significant policy-making, sustainable planning, management by stakeholders.
