Manufacturing bioactive materials for drug delivery involves developing that interact with biological tissues to release drugs in a controlled and targeted manner. The goal is optimize therapeutic efficacy reduce side effects by combining knowledge from engineering, biology, pharmacology. This study presents detailed bibliometric analysis, exploring the keywords "manufacturing," "bioactive materials," "drug delivery" identify highlight significant advancements field. From Web of Science, 36,504 articles were analyzed, 171 selected deeper identifying key journals, countries, institutions, authors. results field's interdisciplinary nature, grouped into four main themes, including regenerative medicine, scaffolds, three-dimensional (3D) printing, glass, tissue engineering. Future research this area will focus on more effective precise systems using technologies like 3D printing nanotechnology enhance customization control release, aiming efficient therapies.

This study provides a bibliometric and bibliographic review of emerging applications micro- nanotechnology in treating ocular diseases, with primary focus on glaucoma. We aim to identify key research trends analyze advancements devices drug delivery systems for treatments. The methodology involved analyzing 385 documents indexed the Web Science using tools such as VOSviewer Bibliometrix. results show marked increase scientific output, highlighting prominent authors institutions, England leading field. Key findings suggest that holds potential address limitations conventional treatments, including low bioavailability adverse side effects. Nanoparticles, nanovesicles, polymer-based appear promising prolonged controlled release, potentially offering enhanced therapeutic efficacy. In conclusion, could transform disease treatment, although challenges remain concerning biocompatibility scalability these devices. Microfabrication technology has advanced scientific understanding and expanded our molecular control capabilities, enabling the development of 3D models in micrometer structures. The sizes fluidic channels are arranged descending order, starting with macro-, followed by meso-, micro-, nanoscale. These advances bring advantages speed up biological chemical experimental processes. Such miniaturized systems show significant advances, particularly meso- microreactors, through high-throughput screening. This work proposes a bibliometric analysis applications Web Science (WoS) database, analyzing main highlights publications, indicators, impact on knowledge production. In past 20 years, approximately 3,934 documents published cited, mainly major world powers micro- mesofluidic systems, increasingly expanding academic industrial sectors.
