The adhesion strength from the cold-spray coating requires assessing multiple flaws and property distributions. Two approaches have been proposed for determining of cold spray-coated substrate. interfacial shear approach combines fragmentation test with a modified Weibull model. Fragmentation testing can examine materials geometrical (roughness) (strength) variations specimens. results give an insight into local distribution. fracture toughness uses electrical four-point probe to identify crack initiation calculate energy release rate coating. Sn coatings between 74 120 μm show 25 53 MPa 15 32 J m–2. measured was independent thickness, while depends on thickness.

Additive manufacturing (AM), an enabler of Industry 4.0, recently opened limitless possibilities in various sectors covering personal, industrial, medical, aviation and even extra-terrestrial applications. Although significant research thrust is prevalent on this topic, a detailed review the impact, status, prospects artificial intelligence (AI) sector has been ignored literature. Therefore, provides comprehensive information smart mechanisms systems emphasizing additive, subtractive and/or hybrid processes collaborative, predictive, decisive, intelligent environment. Relevant electronic databases were searched, 248 articles selected for qualitative synthesis. Our suggests that improvements are required connectivity, data sensing, collection to enhance both additive technologies, though pervasive use AI by machines software helps automate processes. Selective surface metallization of insulating polymers is particular interest in smart films, energy harvesting, and sensing applications. However, traditional polymer techniques face challenges due to the need for environmentally hazardous pretreatment (e.g., strong acid etching) cost-intensive palladium seeding processes, thereby limiting large-scale deployment metallized polymers. With advent rapid prototyping, on additively manufactured drew attention a variety technological applications, as it enables fabrication low-cost electronic devices. In current work, we deploy evaluate hybrid additive route that can enable functional selective 3D-printed eco-friendly methodology with improved electrical conductivity.
