Background
and
aims
There
is
an
ongoing
debate
on
whether
to
advocate
reducing
ultra-processed
food
(UPF)
in
dietary
guidelines
control
metabolic
disease
(such
as
obesity
type
2
diabetes
mellitus
[T2DM]).
We
aimed
summarize
the
evidence
from
systematic
reviews
with
meta-analyses
between
UPF
consumption
diseases
risk,
assess
credibility,
verify
robustness
of
these
associations.
