Awareness of work-related stress or mental health has been increasing in global tourism, but there often a dilemma to deal with it properly. In this paper, we adopted the allostatic load model and differential susceptibility conduct an interdisciplinary study. Study 1 collected longitudinal data latent class growth analysis identify two major trajectories health: escalating normative class. 2 showed that significant DNA methylation (>10%) occurred at some loci target genes (NR3C1, FKBP5, NGFR, DRD3, SLC6A4). The level was higher than SLC6A4, which could be recognized as hotel employees stressful working environment. This study illustrated potential psychobiology solving issues theoretically practically.

The reproduction of social relationships in a rural tourism destination is examined through micro-sociological lens that explores residents’ everyday interactions. Interaction ritual theory adopted as the theoretical foundation. Zhinan, mountainous village Hangzhou, China, which initiated 2014, study site. Two rounds focus groups and interviews were conducted with residents. Qualitative inquiry shows that, under influence tourism, daily interactions consist three interaction rituals, is, living operation event festival rituals. Due to distinct ingredients, these rituals unfold differentially engage different actors. They complement each other co-construction have symbolic, emotional, collective, normative connotations. This provides in-depth, contextualized understandings relationships, draws practical implications for sustainable development destinations.

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges to the hospitality industry, yet there remains a limited understanding of response strategies by international hotel chains (IHCs) during this crisis. Solidarity tourism provides tourists with the opportunity to help others who are suffering during crisis by offering shared resources and a sense of community. Although solidarity in times promises attention tourists' desires wellbeing, there is limited evidence this. This paper aims understand how occurs applying value co-creation. A total 21,719 traveller posts were thematically analysed reveal that can be achieved various contexts through co-created care practices, which have emotional cognitive value. Practices include co-producing, connecting, co-advocating, co-suffering consuming collaboratively. conceptualises illustrates as relational practice, an effective means support crises.

Hotel booking websites to collect information about hospitality products/services are becoming more popular in the hotel industry. As a result, importance of these for tourism firms marketing their services and products through electronic word mouth (eWOM) on continues grow. Despite its importance, there has been little research how guests interact with increase eWOM. This paper creates new scale assessing guest interaction Meituan.com fill this void. To end, three-step mixed-methods approach using open-ended surveys published relevant is used. Data were gathered from 440 Taiwan, China, Hong Kong. Using SmartPLS 4, confirmatory factor analysis revealed 33 final items scale. significantly contributes potential behavior by creating confirming context.
