Interventions to Improve Sexual Health in Women Living with and Surviving Cancer: Review and Recommendations

Sexual health concerns, both physical and psychological, are common represent an unmet need among women with surviving cancer. challenges conditions negatively impact body image, satisfaction, relationships, well-being, quality of life, yet widely reported to be under-recognized undertreated. To guide clinical care future research on sexual function in cancer, we performed a scoping review interventions for including function, genitourinary symptoms, hot flashes. Relevant publications between 2005 2020 were identified by searching PubMed combination medical subject headings keywords. Articles included if they focused the aforementioned topics, primary publications, female cancer survivors. Studies focusing receiving hormone therapy breast also included. Nonestrogen Therapies for Treatment of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause

To systematically review the literature and provide clinical practice guidelines regarding various nonestrogen therapies for treatment of genitourinary syndrome menopause (GSM).MEDLINE, EMBASE, ClinicalTrials.gov , Cochrane databases were searched from inception to July 2021. We included comparative noncomparative studies. Interventions comparators limited seven products that are commercially available currently in use (vaginal dehydroepiandrosterone [DHEA], ospemifene, laser or energy-based therapies, polycarbophil-based vaginal moisturizer, Tibolone, hyaluronic acid, testosterone). Topical estrogen, placebo, other products, as well no considered comparators.We double-screened 9,131 abstracts identified 136 studies met our criteria. Vaginal Laser Treatment for the Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause in Breast Cancer Survivors: A Narrative Review

Genitourinary syndrome of the menopause (GSM) is a chronic, often progressive condition, characterised by symptoms relating to oestrogen deficiency including; vaginal dryness, burning, itching, dyspareunia, dysuria, urinary urgency and recurrent tract infections. GSM affects up 70% breast cancer survivors with tendency particularly severe symptoms, owing effects iatrogenic endocrine therapy.
