This review article proposes the theory that liver fibrosis, abnormal accumulation of excessive extracellular matrix, is not just an indicator disease but also a negative reflection overall systemic health. Liver fibrosis poses heavy financial burden on healthcare systems worldwide and can develop due to chronic from various causes, often sustained inflammation. may generate symptoms become apparent only when it reaches stage cirrhosis associated with clinically significant portal hypertension leads decompensation events or promotes development hepatocellular carcinoma. While viral hepatitis alcohol consumption were once primary causes featuring this role now increasingly taken over by metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic (MASLD). In MASLD, endothelial dysfunction essential component in pathogenesis, promoting present cells other organs such as heart, lungs, kidneys. Accordingly, predictor liver-related outcomes, well all-cause mortality, cardiovascular risk, extrahepatic cancer. Physicians should be aware individuals seeking medical attention for reasons unrelated health have advanced fibrosis. Early identification these at-risk lead more comprehensive assessment use treatment options, both approved investigational, slow reverse progression

Background and Objectives: To investigate the relationship between SII index micro-macro complications death that develop in first year following 3 years, calculation of type 2 diabetic retinopathy patients. Materials Methods: This study was performed retrospectively with 523 patients admitted to endocrinology outpatient clinic our hospital January 2019 December 2019. The demographic, clinical characteristics were evaluated using descriptive statistics. Shapiro-Wilk test used for normal distribution quantitative data; Mann-Whitney U, Mc Nemar Chi-square, Cochran's Q tests analyze values groups complication rates by years; sensitivity specificity determined ROC analysis considered statistically significant a significance level P

Background and Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between systemic immune inflammation (SII) index development of micro macro complications mortality within first year following three years in type 2 diabetic retinopathy patients. Materials Methods: The retrospective included 523 patients seen endocrinology outpatient clinic our hospital January December 2019. Their demographic clinical characteristics were analyzed using descriptive statistics. normal distribution quantitative data was assessed by Shapiro–Wilk test. Mann–Whitney U, McNemar–Chi-square, Cochran’s Q tests used analyze SII values complication rates over time. An ROC analysis determined sensitivity specificity SII. A multiple linear regression examined variables SII, while Spearman’s test correlation CRP p < 0.05 accepted as significant. Results: mean age 63.5 ± 9.3 years, with 821.4 1010.8. Higher significantly associated acute–chronic renal failure, peripheral arterial disease, hospitalization both (p for all). Significant cut-off found micro- macrovascular death curve identified an optimal value >594.0 predicting near-term (1-year) mortality, a 73.8% 49.4% (area under curve: 0.629, = 0.001). Multiple indicated that smoking at least 20 pack-years had significant positive effect on Spearman showed weak CRP. Conclusions: High predict early late hospitalizations retinopathy. also shows high may microvascular DM risk period In addition, comorbidities inflammatory habits, such long-term smoking, should be considered use

APRI and FIB-4 scores are used to exclude clinically significant fibrosis (defined as stage ≥ F2) in patients with chronic viral hepatitis. However, the cut-offs for these (generated by Youden indices) vary between different patient cohorts. This study aimed evaluate whether serum dithiothreitol-oxidizing capacity (DOC), i.e., a surrogate test of quiescin sulfhydryl oxidase-1, which is matrix remodeling enzyme, could be non-invasively identify various liver diseases (CLDs).
