Abstract Purpose The purpose of this study was to compare the perception and understanding information provided by ChatGPT regarding myopia among optometry students, optometrists undertaking a Master degree practicing optometrists. Methods This cross‐sectional descriptive using structured questionnaire distributed via Wooclap 225 participants (125 21 Masters students 79 optometrists). The choroid is a vital vascular layer of the eye, essential for maintaining ocular health. Understanding its structural variations, particularly choroidal thickness (CT), crucial early detection diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), high myopia (HM), and diabetes mellitus (DM). Recent advancements in deep learning have significantly improved segmentation measurement layers. This study aims to investigate age- gender-related changes CT components through analysis swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) images. A total 262 participants (136 females 126 males) were recruited from Peking University International Hospital. Exclusion criteria included pathologies systemic conditions. SS-OCT was utilized CT, Sattler layer-choriocapillaris complex (SLCCT), Haller (HLT) measurements. auto-measurement method, based on algorithms, ensured accuracy. Ethics approval informed consent obtained all participants. Significant thinning SLCCT observed after age 60, with HLT declining 30. Abstract High myopia stands as the primary cause of blindness globally, with cataract emerging one most prevalent complications. However, underlying mechanism high myopic remains unknown. The lens capsule is basement membrane enclosing lens. In this study, we hypothesized tissue‐derived extracellular vesicles (Ti‐EVs) play a vital role in formation cataract. Ti‐EVs were collected from and age‐related patients during surgery, isolated by ExoDisc. Then, performed proximity barcoding assay for single‐EV analysis, which enabled us to identify alteration Ti‐EV subpopulations associated Among detected proteins, our findings revealed predominant immunity cluster within cataracts, characterized significantly higher abundance macrophage‐derived EVs strongly correlated aquaporin 1 (AQP1) cluster, suggesting potential interaction between these two components progression It was also observed that eye morphogenesis may work concert AQP1, potentially driving cataracts through pathway. Myopia is a major cause of worldwide avoidable blindness, and its prevalence increasing rapidly. Objectives: To investigate the relationship between myopia educational environmental characteristics in public private sectors. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from August to December 2024, implementing stratified sampling technique. Two schools were chosen at random each school strata. From grade level, students then selected random. Individuals with ocular problems or those who declined participate not included. 621 ages 8 15 took part. Ocular examination included refraction visual acuity. self-structured questionnaire utilized assess home environment variables. SPSS version 26.0 used for data analysis. Results: Among (mean age 13 ± 1.89 years), 46.53% male 53.46% female. 387 attend schools, while 234 private. 33.8% prevalence, 10% having high, 33.33% moderate 56.66% mild myopia. Abstract Background Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) is a vision-threatening ophthalmic emergency requiring prompt surgical intervention. Despite advancements in techniques, recurrence remains significant challenge, leading to additional surgeries and poorer visual outcomes. This study aimed evaluate the incidence risk factors for RRD following repair an Egyptian tertiary care setting. Methods A retrospective cohort was conducted at Alexandria Main University Hospital, Egypt, including 134 patients who underwent surgery (pars plana vitrectomy [PPV] or scleral buckling [SB]) between March September 2023. Demographic, clinical, variables were evaluated. Recurrence defined as anatomical after initial success within 6-month follow-up period. Statistical analyses included chi-square tests multivariate logistic regression identify independent factors. Results The rate 24.6%, with early (≤ 6 weeks) occurring 14.9% of cases. PPV had significantly higher (34.8%) compared SB (19.3%) ( p = 0.049). Univariate analysis identified right eye laterality 0.02), high myopia 0.015), proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) < 0.001), ocular comorbidities 0.018) Multivariate confirmed (OR: 3.7, 0.016), 0.34, 0.04), PVR 0.15, 0.005) predictors.
