The demand for food delivery services (FDSs) during the COVID-19 crisis has been fuelled by consumers who prefer to order meals online and have it delivered their door than wait at a restaurant. Since many restaurants moved joined FDSs such as Uber Eats, Menulog, Deliveroo, customer reviews on internet platforms become valuable source of information about company's performance. FDS organisations strive collect complaints effectively utilise identify improvements needed enhance satisfaction. However, only few opinions are addressed because large amount feedback data lack service consultants. Organisations can use artificial intelligence (AI) instead relying experts find solutions own save money opposed reading each review. Based literature, deep learning (DL) methods shown remarkable results in obtaining better accuracy when working with datasets other domains, but explainability model. Rapid research explainable AI (XAI) explain predictions made opaque models looks promising remains be explored domain. This study conducted sentiment analysis comparing simple hybrid DL techniques (LSTM, Bi-LSTM, Bi-GRU-LSTM-CNN) domain explained using SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations (LIME). were trained tested review dataset extracted from ProductReview website. Results showed that LSTM, Bi-LSTM Bi-GRU-LSTM-CNN achieved an 96.07%, 95.85% 96.33%, respectively. model should exhibit fewer false negatives aim address every complaint. LSTM was chosen over two models, Bi-GRU-LSTM-CNN, due its lower rate negatives. XAI techniques, SHAP LIME, revealed feature contribution words used towards positive negative sentiments, which validate

Background: This study aims to examine how behavioral variables interact with and stimulate purchasing decisions influence the process of healthy foods during COVID-19 pandemic. Method: Principal component analysis was carried out on a sample 100 consumers in Saudi Arabia, this made it possible adapt items context study. Exploratory confirmatory 360 people out. Confirmatory factor provided reliable valid scales, multivariate using structural equations binary logistic regressions validate hypotheses. Results: The intention buy increased among foods. Women were more anxious about pandemic than men, they took considerable precautions avoid contamination. fear also intense elderly population younger people. respondents indicated reduced visits shops, restaurants, markets. Gender age moderated relationship between intention. Consumption risk negatively affected However, buying experiences led purchases compared other goods.

Abstract This study explores how firms sought to effectively match their internal competence with external resources from the supply chain network improve operational resilience (OR) during COVID‐19 pandemic. Drawing upon matching theory, this provides an internal–external perspective based on flexibility–stability features of OR explain mechanisms underlying different matchings between flexibility (i.e., product diversity)/stability efficiency) and structural holes)/stability centrality). We find that more heterogeneous (external) (internal) stability have a complementary effect enhances OR, whereas homogeneous (or stability) substitutive reduces OR. valuable contributions research focusing chain, organizational resilience, operations management.

Changes were more pronounced during first wave (April-June) compared second (October-December). Women, <60 years, those with university degree, white-collar workers, unhealthy at baseline had higher odds changing their counterparts. Negative time mentally passive state sitting home associated ill-health (including anxiety regarding one's own relatives' health, generalized depression symptoms, concerns employment economy). results emphasize need support healthy strengthen resilience vulnerable groups future viral pandemics prevent inequalities society.

Aims: This study aimed to describe how the first phase of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic affected older persons from general Finnish population who are at risk developing or have cognitive impairment, specifically, whether participants experienced a change in factors that relevant for prevention decline including diet, physical activity, access medical care, socially and cognitively stimulating activities, emotional health well-being. Method: A postal survey was sent June 2020 859 Geriatric Intervention Study Prevent Cognitive Impairment Disability (FINGER), an ongoing longitudinal study. The developed assess effect COVID-19 related infection-control measures on daily life, specifically commitment distancing measures, care social services, changes activities. Results: By September 2020, 613 (71%) responded (mean age = 77.7 years, 32% lived alone, 80% had least one chronic condition). Three quarters adopted some practices during months pandemic. Older were more likely practice total isolation than younger ones (29 vs. 19%; p 0.003). Non-acute health-care visits canceled 5% needed appointments, but cancellations dental (43%), home aid (30%), rehabilitative services (53%) common. Pandemic-related reported engagements, example, less contact with friends (55%) family (31%), frequent attendance cultural events (38%) associations (25%), although remote others increased 40%. Feelings loneliness 21%, particularly those ( 0.023) living alone < 0.001). Physical activity reduced 34%, dietary habits remained stable improved. lifestyle activities evident among alone. Conclusions: generally negative lifestyles behaviors expected. people seemed susceptible changes.
