Catecholamines, including dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine, are considered one of the most crucial subgroups neurotransmitters in central nervous system (CNS), which they act at brain’s highest levels mental function play key roles neurological disorders. Accordingly, analysis such catecholamines biological samples has shown a great interest clinical pharmaceutical importance toward early diagnosis diseases as Epilepsy, Parkinson, Alzheimer diseases. As promising routes for real-time monitoring catecholamine neurotransmitters, optical electrochemical biosensors have been widely adopted perceived dramatically accelerating development last decade. Therefore, this review aims to provide comprehensive overview on recent advances main challenges biosensors. Particular emphasis is given biosensors, reviewing their sensing mechanism unique characteristics brought by emergence nanotechnology. Based specific biosensors’ performance metrics, multiple perspectives therapeutic use nanomaterial future trends also summarized.

In this study, the adsorptive removal of methylene blue dye, which is commonly used in textile industries, was investigated using MnO2@reduced graphene oxide (rGO) adsorbent. The sonication-assisted synthesis from rGO nanosheets and MnO2 nanoparticles resulted to MnO2@rGO nanocomposite with improved physicochemical properties. characterization results showed surface area, porous structure adsorption sites nitrogen adsorption-desorption studies, morphology Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Transmission (TEM) crystal X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). properties on played a significant role enhancing dye wastewater. equilibrium experimental data best described by Langmuir isotherm model maximum capacity 156 mg g-1, suggesting monolayer adsorption. kinetic fitted pseudo-second order model, chemisorption process. thermodynamic (ΔG°, ΔH° ΔS°) confirmed feasibility, randomness spontaneous nature mechanism involved hydrogen bonding, π-π interactions electrostatic interactions. spiked wastewater yielded 98-99% removal. method demonstrated competitiveness when compared literature reported results, paving way for further investigations towards industrial scale applications.
