A novel defective-Cu-BTC@Bi 2 MoO 6 (d-CuM@BMO) heterostructure was successfully fabricated through an etching-and-growth strategy, showing excellent selective and sensitive acetone sensing performances under the photoactivation of UV light.

Considering that the volatile content of isoamyl alcohol will increase sharply on seventh day during wheat mildew, can be determined as an early biomarker mildew. Currently, there are only few sensors reported for detection, which still suffer from low sensitivity and poor moisture resistance. Herein, 5 at% Er@LaFeO3 (ELFO) was enhanced by loading Ag nanoparticles surface ELFO microspheres while optimal operating temperature reduced. The resistance Ag/ELFO improved incorporation g-C3N4 nanosheets (NSs) through electrostatic self-assembly. Given requirement practical application in grain granaries, sensing behavior NSs incorporated Ag/ELFO-based sensor at 20% RH systematically studied, demonstrated excellent repeatability, long-term stability, superior selectivity (791 50 ppm) with a limit detection (LOD = 75 ppb). Furthermore, results different mildew stages further confirmed potential g-C3N4/Ag/ELFO-based monitoring stage wheat. This work may offer guidance enhancing gas-sensitive materials strategy employing composite nanomaterials.

The emergence of bismuth molybdate (Bi2MoO6) as a promising visible-light catalyst has prompted researchers to increasingly focus on its investigation. To elucidate the impact different preparation methods morphology and photocatalytic properties Bi2MoO6, samples were synthesized via solvothermal, in situ conversion, solution combustion, precipitation, sol-gel techniques. physicochemical Bi2MoO6 characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), particle size analysis (PSA), fluorescence, photocurrent measurements. materials’ ability degrade Rhodamine B (RhB) was evaluated. results demonstrated that crystallinity, morphology, bandgap width, photogenerated carrier recombination varied significantly depending method. Among these methods, solvothermal route proved most effective, yielding with highest activity, achieving 97.5% RhB degradation within 25 min light exposure. low rate attributed large specific surface area narrow (2.71 eV). This study provides valuable insights into preparing enhanced properties.

Developing sensitive sensors to trimethylamine (TMA) remains a topic of great interest in areas such as food quality analysis and disease biomarkers. To address this issue, chemiresistive were proposed using graphene quantum dots (GQDs) with different proportions hydroxyl (GQDs-OH), epoxy (GQDs-epoxy), carboxyl (GQDs-COOH) groups. These materials exhibited sensitivities TMA, GQDs-OH being the most sensitive, presenting detection limit 0.3 ppm response about 4 2.5 times higher than those GQDs-COOH GQDs-Epoxy, respectively. This difference sensitivity was elucidated by building, based on density functional theory calculations, potential energy curves interaction between TMA three GQD models. Noncovalent atoms molecular also used explain each model. Our results highlight that proportion oxygen groups has major role modulating against group providing greater sensitivity. through computational simulations, which explained lower other materials. work serves practical guide, demonstrating importance coupling experimental methods achieve deeper understanding sensing results.
