The global problem of microplastics in the environment is “inspiring” scientists to find environmentally friendly and economically viable methods remove these pollutants from environment. Advanced oxidation processes are among most promising methods. In this work, potential Fenton, photo-Fenton, Fenton-like for degradation low-density polyethylene (LDPE), polypropylene (PP), poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) water suspensions was investigated. influence three parameters on efficiency process tested: pH medium (3–7), mass added iron (10–50 times less than microplastics), H2O2 (5–25 more iron). effectiveness treatment monitored by FTIR-ATR spectroscopy. After 60-min treatments, PP microparticles were found be insensitive. Fenton PVC photo-Fenton LDPE PVC, changes FTIR spectra related observed. cases, optimized.
