Flavonoids exert vasculoprotective effects in humans, but interindividual variability their action has also been reported. This study aims to identify genes that are associated with vascular health of flavonoids and whose polymorphisms could explain response intake. Applying the predetermined literature search criteria, we identified five human intervention studies reporting positive on function together global genomic changes analyzed using microarray methods. Genes involved dysfunction were from genome-wide association (GWAS). By extracting data eligible studies, obtained 5807 differentially expressed (DEGs). The number upstream regulators (URs) varied across 227 1407. GWAS Catalog revealed 493 dysfunction. An integrative analysis transcriptomic 106 candidate DEGs 42 URs, while subsequent functional analyses a 20 top priority genes: ALDH2, APOE, CAPZA1, CYP11B2, GNA13, IL6, IRF5, LDLR, LPL, LSP1, MKNK1, MMP3, MTHFR, MYO6, NCR3, PPARG, SARM1, TCF20, TCF7L2, TNF. In conclusion, this integrated identifies important design future nutrigenetic for development precision nutrition polyphenols.

Maternal breast milk plays a key role in providing newborns with passive immunity and stimulating the maturation of an infant’s immune system, protecting them from many diseases. It is known that diet can influence system lactating mothers composition their milk. The aim this study was to establish if supplementation during gestation lactation Lewis rats extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), due high proportion antioxidant components its composition, has impact on mother’s milk’s composition. For this, 10 mL/kg either EVOO, refined (control oil) or water (REF group) were orally administered once day periods. Immunoglobulin (Ig) concentrations gene expressions molecules quantified several compartments mothers. EVOO group showed higher IgA levels both mammary glands than REF group. In addition, expression also boosted by consumption. Overall, safe does not negatively affect while improving increasing presence IgA, which could be critical for offspring’s health.

Abstract Purpose Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) affects one-third of the global population. Despite its high prevalence, there is a lack minimally non-invasive diagnostic methods to assess this condition. This study explores potential circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) as biomarkers for MASLD after 2-year nutritional intervention. Methods Fifty-five subjects with steatosis (MASLD group) from Fatty in Obesity (FLiO) (NCT03183193) were analyzed at baseline and 6, 12 24 months. Participants classified into two groups: those who still had intervention (unhealthy whom disappeared (healthy group). Hepatic status was evaluated through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasonography, elastography serum transaminases. Circulating miRNA levels measured by RT-PCR. Results The dietary able modulate expression miRNAs 12, Logistic regression analyses revealed that most effective panels diagnosing whether has included miR15b-3p, miR126-5p BMI (AUC 0.68) 6 months, miR29b-3p, miR122-5p, miR151a-3p 0.85) months miR21-5p, 0.85). Conclusions useful predicting overweight or obesity following weight-loss oriented These findings highlight role underscore importance precision nutrition managing determining MASLD. Clinical trial registration Trial number: NCT03183193 (www.clinicaltrials.gov).

Abstract Nutritional interventions in healthy individuals may be particularly informative if high, but not excessive, amounts of specific foods are taken to maximize effects without sacrificing safety. We hypothesized that high polyphenols on single days eliminate senescent blood cells. conducted a ten-week parallel-group controlled randomized open trial with an escalation consumption, up ∼4kg fresh strawberries weekly, plus 200g dried and 240g capers olive oil three “seno-intervention” days, 168 elderly people aged 50-80 years. Two primary endpoints, LDL cholesterol sensitive CRP, were prespecified. found significant decline cholesterol, CRP by ∼50% all groups seno-intervention (limited participants increased baseline values). levels reduced 0.0174 mmol/L for any 500g-increment the weekly strawberry intake average participant. Gene expression analyses whole suggested improvement mitochondrial immunological function, suppression inflammation (in high-intervention groups), positive regulation apoptotic signaling highest-intervention group). Overall, medium-term nutritional intervention improved lipid status, provided hints apoptotic/senolytic effects. Key findings High-dose polyphenol-rich nutrition improves At highest dose, gene data highlight “positive signaling” A clear dose-response pattern based escalating design

microRNA (miRNA) is a non-coding RNA type, regulating gene expressions at post-transcriptional level. Changes in miRNA can cause problems such as lipid metabolism disorder, cardiovascular disease, growth retardation, low birth weight and insulin resistance, etc., human animals. In this study, we investigated the evolutionary relationships of 14 miRNAs including hsa-miR27a-5p, hsa-miR149-3p, hsa-miR374c-5p, mmu-miR-678, mmu-miR-698-5p, hsa-miR-199a-3p, hsa-miR122-3p, hsa-miR342-3p, mmu-miR201-5p, hsa-miR429, hsa-miR370-3p, hsa-miR130a-5p, hsa-miR330-3p hsa-miR770-5p related to different metabolic pathways diseases metabolism. For purpose, were retrieved from miRBase database. After, Clustal Omega analyses performed for alignment, phylogenetic tree was constructed via MEGA 11. Phylogenetic indicated that sequences clustered into four groups. One group consisted other 13 separated three groups, revealing close relationship among miRNAs. Findings studies provide new perspective potential miRNA-based biomarkers detect disorders, well disorders.

Individualised nutrition based on knowledge of nutrigenomics is becoming a major scientific and health interest subject worldwide. Still, it adds layer complexity that may benefit harm the social aspects eating. In case advancing gene–nutrient interactions other disciplines, all religious communities world, including Muslims, have statements principles express identity commitment defining one community from others. To properly develop religiously acceptable framework encompasses important Islamic tradition, indirect input philosophers, scholars, luminaries source materials required. Without trying to be thorough, this work addresses need provides new opportunities for future research publishing in ethics, genome, food (nature). It also analyses Muslim scholars’ arguments deliberations ethical extends beyond binary dichotomy between right wrong (al-ʾamr bi al-maʿrūf wa al-nahy ʿan al-munkar) jurisprudence. This qualitative study utilised range intellectual voices build theoretical ethics constructivist grounded theory as broader approach.
