Parishin, a natural compound, has demonstrated significant potential in mitigating age-related phenotypes and improving outcomes age-associated diseases. Given that aging is major risk factor for numerous chronic conditions, including pulmonary fibrosis, we investigated parishin's effects on cellular senescence lung health. In our study, treated mouse epithelial cells with parishin observed reduction markers alongside an upregulation of sirtuin 1 (SIRT1). Building these

Background Aging is a significant risk factor for many neurodegenerative diseases and neurological tumors. Previous studies indicate that the frailty index, facial aging, telomere length (TL), epigenetic aging clock acceleration are commonly used biological proxy indicators. This study aims to comprehensively explore potential relationships between tumors by integrating various indicators, employing Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. Methods Two-sample bidirectional MR analyses were conducted using genome-wide association (GWAS) data. Summary statistics tumors, along with obtained from extensive meta-analyses of GWAS. Genetic single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated exposures as instrumental variables, assessing causal three (Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), two benign (vestibular schwannoma meningioma), one malignant tumor (glioma), four indicators (frailty TL, acceleration). Sensitivity also performed. Results Our analysis revealed genetically predicted longer TL reduces Alzheimer’s disease but increases vestibular glioma (All Glioma, GBM, non-GBM). In addition, there suggestive relationship some (PD GBM) DNA methylation GrimAge acceleration. Causal other not observed. Conclusion Building upon prior investigations into telomeres our validates these findings larger GWAS data demonstrates, first time, GBM may promote age research provides new insights evidence

Human arteries show structural and functional peculiarities according to the nutrient oxygen needs of a specific vascular district. This architectural heterogeneity is reflected in pathological setting cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). Indeed, responsiveness risk factors, morphological molecular patterns are discriminating factors among CVDs affecting different beds. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) endogenous regulators gene expression fine-tuners cell differentiation; thus, these non-coding RNAs can modulate arterial heterogeneity. The identification an artery-specific miRNA signature would be promising therapy CVDs, especially patients who frail elderly. In present review, we will provide concise description tree on cellular basis, mainly context. Secondly, address potential as crucial mediators heterogeneity, focusing abdominal aorta femoral artery, with final goal strengthening search for more targeted therapies stratification approaches

Inflamm-aging is a condition of low-grade and chronic systemic inflammation characterized by increase in multiple inflammatory biomarkers such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin 6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), CXCL9 (MIG) experimental clinical settings. However, despite the recent identification extracellular procathepsin L (pCTS-L) novel mediator diseases sepsis, its possible role inflamm-aging was previously not investigated. In present study, we compared blood levels pCTS-L other 62 cytokines chemokines between young aged Balb/C mice Western blotting Cytokine Antibody Arrays. light surprising finding marked mice, propose that may serve another biomarker inflamm-aging. One of the most pressing challenges facing society today is rising prevalence physical and cognitive frailty. This geriatric condition makes older adults more vulnerable to disability, illness, a heightened risk mortality. In this scenario, Parkinson’s disease (PD) frailty, which share several common characteristics, are becoming increasingly prevalent worldwide, underscoring urgent need for innovative strategies. Nutraceuticals naturally occurring bioactive compounds contained in foods, offering health benefits over above essential nutrition. By examining literature from past decade, review highlights how nutraceuticals can act as complementary therapies, addressing key processes, such oxidative stress, inflammation, neuroprotection. Notably, antioxidant action appears particularly beneficial regard PD For instance, antioxidant-rich may mitigate damage linked levodopa therapy PD, potentially reducing side effects enhancing treatment sustainability. Similarly, amplify activity, muscle function, health, resilience, thereby proposes holistic approach integrating with exercise, pharmacotherapy, lifestyle adjustments. Abstract Among scarce biological relations qualifiable as laws, the Gompertz-Makeham law (GML) stands out being directly related to life-and-death issues.
