The liver is the largest, important organ and site for essential biochemical reactions in human body. It has function to detoxify toxic substances synthesize useful biomolecules. Liver diseases related complications represent a significant source of morbidity mortality worldwide, creating substantial economic burden. Oxidative stress, excessive inflammation, dysregulated energy metabolism significantly contributed diseases. Therefore, discovery novel therapeutic drugs treatment are urgently required. For centuries, flavonoids their preparations which have beneficial health effects chronic been used treat various illnesses. Flavonoids mainly include flavones, isoflavones, flavanols, dihydroflavones, dihydroflavonols, anthocyanins chalcones. primary objective this review assess efficacy safety flavonoids, from clinical point view considering clinically relevant end-points. We summarized recent progress research hepatoprotective molecular mechanisms different bioactive ingredients also outlined networks underlying signaling pathways. Further pharmacology toxicology will contribute development natural products derivatives as medicines with alluring prospect application.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is considered a significant global health issue related to serious metabolic disorders. However, effective pharmacological treatments are still limited. Flavonoids, wide group of polyphenol substances, exert anti-inflammatory and lipid-lowering effects in preclinical data. Thus, implementing these research findings clinical practice could significantly help manage NAFLD its consequences. This narrative review assesses the therapeutic potential flavonoids managing NAFLD. The collected randomized controlled trials (RCTs) meta-analyses RCTs from past five years concerning impact on A total 20 studies were selected according predetermined inclusion criteria, comprising thirteen seven meta-analyses. underscores beneficial management through enhancement lipid metabolism, reduction hepatic steatosis, provision actions. Clinical demonstrate that interventions rich flavonoids, including quercetin, epigallocatechin gallate, naringenin, isoflavones, substantially reduce fat content enhance enzyme profiles, with certain compounds exhibiting superior efficacy particular subgroups, such as older adults females. Nonetheless, whereas therapies diminish their effect fibrosis constrained. To sum up, exhibit supplementary for by enhancing function, inflammation. Additional extensive necessary create uniform treatment methods ascertain long-term advantages.

The global incidence of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is increasing annually, which has become a major public-health concern. MAFLD typically associated with obesity, hyperlipemia, or syndrome. Dietary induction one the most common methods for preparing animal models MAFLD. However, there are phenotypic differences between methionine-choline-deficient diet (MCDD) and high fat (HFD) models. To explore in hepatic acid metabolism MCDD HFD induced MAFLD, we analyzed serum tissue from two We found that accumulation function damage were pathological features both Furthermore, model, expression transport proteins increased, while efflux mRNA decreased, along decrease blood lipid levels. In uptake proteins, an increase Impaired oxidation increased play key roles pathogenesis inverse changes de novo lipogenesis may represent important mechanism leads to
