Abstract Background Itch as the most common symptom in dermatology has been shown to be related psychological factors such stress, anxiety and depression. Moreover, associations were found between perceived stigmatization itch. However, studies investigating differences patients with dermatoses without itch regarding stigmatization, depression are missing. Therefore, one of aims second study European Society for Dermatology Psychiatry (ESDaP II) was investigate these relationships a large cohort different itchy dermatoses. Results 3399 14 recruited at 22 centres 17 countries. They filled questionnaires assess signs clinically relevant or depression, itch‐related quality life, overall health status, duration, frequency intensity. The significant association severity itching perception stress observed among individuals rosacea (correlation coefficient r = 0.314). Similarly, strongest links intensity experiences anxiety, seborrheic dermatitis coefficients 0.317, 0.356, 0.400, respectively). Utilizing stepwise linear regression analysis, it determined that within entire patient cohort, 9.3% variation could accounted by including gender, levels stigmatization. Females elevated scores reported more pronounced intensities compared those contrary attributes. Conclusion This underscores connection experiencing its strain places on individuals. Consequently, interventions should encompass both addressing itself interconnected factors. In specific cases, becomes imperative dermatologists direct towards suitable healthcare resources undergo further assessment.

Polyphenol is a versatile green phytochemical vital in several biomedical applications with fascinating inherent biocompatible, bioadhesive, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. The emergence of novel nanotechnology techniques, such as electrospinning, has proven to be an excellent option for nanotechnology, ensuring effective drug delivery system recognised medicinal plant extracts containing polyphenols electrospun nanofibers can provide the necessary environment encapsulation. Together, have shown promising usage wound healing. When are incorporated into nanofibrous scaffolds, their combined properties enhance cell attachment, proliferation, differentiation. This review explores potential polyphenol-loaded therapy, highlighting importance efficient systems polyphenols. It provides brief assessment specific (resveratrol, curcumin, thymol, quercetin, tannic acid, ferulic hesperidin, gallic kaempferol, chlorogenic acid) that been successfully encapsulated applied treatment. Despite ongoing research, certain carvacrol, oleuropein, kaempferol remain less explored. underscores need continued investigation these while recognising growing application healing more extensive therapeutic use.

Chronic pruritus (CP) is defined as an unpleasant sensation causing a desire to scratch and lasting > 6 weeks. It has multifactorial etiology but more frequently associated with chronic inflammatory dermatoses systemic disorders. Psychogenic neurological disorders are other less common etiologies, while, in some patients, it idiopathic. CP appears be processed by non-histaminergic pathway, contributing its complexity therapeutic challenge. Moreover, regardless of the etiology, multidimensional, including cognitive, motivational affective components. There close link between psychological distress pruritus, particular clinical expression dermatoses, involving activation hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (and cutaneous equivalent), sympathetic nervous system, release hormones peptides, role immune cells (T B cells, macrophages) immune-related skin (mast dendritic keratinocytes). there strong evidence that factors influence experience pruritus. can also cause psychiatric disorders, not limited anxiety depression, lead significant quality life (QoL) impairment. Thereby, although psychodermatological assessment should ideally carried out context specific psychodermatology consultation, brief mental health could part general dermatological approach these patients. Considering health, QoL closely linked, psychotherapeutic interventions and/or psychotropic drugs thus considered patients adjunct pharmacological treatment CP.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory condition that polygenic and multisystemic, impacting approximately 2-3% of the global population. The onset this disease influenced by an intricate interplay genetic environmental factors, predisposing individuals to psoriasis phenotype. complex pathogenesis contains certain key aspects found in other autoinflammatory autoimmune dermatological diseases. Among these, vitiligo, alopecia areata, hidradenitis suppurativa, connective tissue diseases, bullous dermatoses, atopic dermatitis are conditions share overlapping immune system dysfunction, making their relationship with particularly significant. For our research, we explored various terms including "shared", "concomitant", "coincident", "overlap", "coexist", "concurrent", relation such as "psoriasis", "alopecia areata", "hidradenitis suppurativa", "atopic dermatitis", "vitiligo", "bullous pemphigoid", "pemphigus vulgaris", "lupus erythematosus", "dermatomyositis", "systemic sclerosis." Additionally, used specific search queries like syndrome" "psoriasis vitiligo concomitant disease" PubMed Web Science databases. While distinct clinical presentation, skin diseases related may become associated, complicating diagnosis treatment. In narrative review, pathophysiology described, along its close conditions. This review provides exhaustive description both immunological non-immunological pathways contributing development.
