Abstract Endophytes are microorganisms that inhabit various plant parts and cause no damage to the host plants. During last few years, a number of novel endophytic fungi have been isolated identified from medicinal plants were found be utilized as bio-stimulants bio fertilizers. In lieu this , present study aims isolate identify associated with leaves Anisomeles indica L. an important Terai-Duars region West Bengal. A total ten A. five using ITS1/ITS4 sequencing based on their ability for growth promotion, secondary metabolite production, extracellular enzyme production. Endophytic fungal isolates Colletotrichum yulongense Ai1, cobbittiense Ai2, alienum Ai2.1, Ai3, Fusarium equiseti . Five tested positive promotion potential, while Ai4. Ai2.1 showed significant production metabolites viz. alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, saponins, etc. Isolate Ai2 maximum phenolic concentration (25.98 mg g −1 ), Ai4 flavonoid (20.10 ). Peribacillus sp. AS_2, a leaf endophytic bacterium isolated from the medicinal plant Alectra sessiliflora, was previously identified using 16S rRNA gene sequence. The draft genome of AS_2 had 5,482,853 bp circular chromosome, 43 contigs, N50 360,633 and an average G + C% content 40.5%. Whole sequencing phenotypic analysis showed that Gram-positive, endospore-forming, motile, rod-shaped it high sequence similarity with P. frigoritolerans DSM 8801T. Genomic digital DNA–DNA hybridisation (dDDH) between strain 8801T castrilensis N3T 84.8% 79.2%, respectively, nucleotide identity (ANI) 97.0% 96.7%, respectively. antiSMASH software predicted total eight secondary metabolite clusters comprising non-ribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) type koranimine, terpenes, siderophore clusters. Strain also displayed genes involved in lifestyle antibiotic resistance such as small multidrug efflux pumps (qacJs).
