Erythrocytes
are
the
most
abundant
cells
in
blood.
As
results
of
long‐term
natural
selection,
their
specific
biconcave
discoid
morphology
and
cellular
composition
responsible
for
gaining
excellent
biological
performance.
Inspired
by
intrinsic
features
erythrocytes,
various
artificial
biomaterials
emerge
find
broad
prospects
biomedical
applications
such
as
therapeutic
delivery,
bioimaging,
tissue
engineering.
Here,
a
comprehensive
review
from
fabrication
to
erythrocyte‐inspired
functional
materials
is
given.
