Background Anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia (BN) poses a significant challenge to global public health. Despite extensive research, conclusive evidence regarding the association between gut microbes risk of AN BN remains elusive. Mendelian randomization (MR) methods offer promising avenue for elucidating potential causal relationships. Materials Genome-wide studies (GWAS) datasets were retrieved from OpenGWAS database analysis. Independent single nucleotide polymorphisms closely associated with 196 bacterial taxa MiBioGen consortium identified as instrumental variables. MR analysis was conducted utilizing R software, outlier exclusion performed using MR-PRESSO method. Causal effect estimation undertaken employing four methods, including Inverse variance weighted. Sensitivity analysis, heterogeneity horizontal multivariate assessment directionality carried out assess robustness findings. Results A total spanning six taxonomic levels subjected Nine demonstrating relationships identified. Among these, five taxa, Peptostreptococcaceae , implicated exerting on risk, while Gammaproteobacteria reduced AN. Similarly, nine exhibiting Of Clostridiales factors increased three Oxalobacteraceae deemed protective factors. Lachnospiraceae emerged common influence both BN, albeit opposing effects. No or pleiotropy detected estimates. Conclusion Through we revealed role 18 intestinal in . It provides new insights into mechanistic basis intervention targets microbiota-mediated BN.

Liposomes and niosomes can be considered excellent drug delivery systems due to their ability load all compounds, whether hydrophobic or hydrophilic. In addition, they reduce the toxicity of loaded without reducing its effectiveness. Synechocystis sp. is a unicellular, freshwater cyanobacteria strain that contains many bioactive compounds qualify use in industrial, pharmaceutical, other fields. This study investigated potential nano-liposomes (L) nano-niosomes (N) for delivering extract against cancer cell lines. Four different types nanoparticles were prepared using dry powder formulation ethanol both nanovesicles (N1 N2, respectively) liposomes (L1 L2, respectively). Analysis formed vesicles zeta analysis, SEM morphological visual examination confirmed stability efficiency. L1 L2 this investigation had effective diameters 419 847 nm, respectively, with PDI values 0.24 0.27. Furthermore, potentials found range from −31.6 mV −43.7 mV. Regarding N1 541 nm 1051 0.31 0.35, reported −22.2 mV, respectively. Metabolic profiling tentatively identified 22 metabolites (1–22) ethanolic extract. Its effect representative human cancers was studied vitro, specifically colon (Caco2), ovarian (OVCAR4), breast (MCF7) The results showed activities N1, L1, three lines, where cytotoxicity IC50 19.56, 33.52, 9.24 µg/mL compared 26.27, 56.23, 19.61 Caco2, OVCAR4, MCF7, On hand, exhibited 9.09, 11.42, 2.38 µg/mL, while N2 15.57, 18.17, 35.31 Meanwhile, formulations little on normal lines (FHC, OCE1, MCF10a). All evaluated silico epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase (EGFR). molecular docking compound 21 (1-hexadecanoyl-2-(9Z-hexadecenoyl)-3-(6′-sulfo-alpha-D-quinovosyl)-sn-glycerol), followed by 6 (Sulfoquinovosyl monoacylgycerol), 7 (3-Hydroxymyristic acid), 8 (Glycolipid PF2), 12 (Palmitoleic 19 (Glyceryl monostearate), highest binding affinities. These good hydrogen bond interactions key amino acid Lys721 as co-crystallized ligand. suggest hold promise future treatment development. Chlorella species are fast-growing microalgae with significant industrial applications. The aim of the present study was to investigate antitumor, antioxidant, and hemolytic activities sorokiniana UTEX 1230 crude methanol extracts fractions. Ch. collective fractions (CFs) were obtained from lyophilized biomass by maceration column chromatography. Antitumor assays against murine lymphoma L5178Y-R human breast cancer MCF-7 cells performed colorimetric 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) reduction technique, using peripheral blood mononuclear (PBMC) as control group. Antioxidant evaluated 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging assay (DPPH) erythrocyte hemolysis, respectively. We showed that (IC50) increased cell growth inhibition, without affecting PBMC. In addition, all CFs significantly higher antioxidant activity than positive (ascorbic acid). CF3 CF4 highest cytotoxicity L5178Y-R, whereas CF3, CF4, CF5 caused antitumor cells. induced compared other CF characterization revealed loliolide, cinnamic acid, methyl dihydrojasmonate, salsalvamide A, 1-monolinolenin, cryptophycin 29, costunolide, riboflavin lumicrome, germicidin B, which have been related activities. conclusion, we demonstrated possess potential, erythrocytes

Rhizoctonia solani, a fungal pathogen, affects the quality and yield of Faba bean crops hinders plant export. Chemical fungicides effectively control pathogens, but their long-term use harms environment, soil properties, human health. Cyanobacteria, promising source natural bioactive compounds, have shown efficacy against colony growth various highlighting need for sustainable practices. As result, this study examined biological solani disease that bean's root crown. Disease assessments were then done in five groups: (1) healthy control; (2) infected with not treated cyanobacterial extract; (3) extract suspension 0.02, (4) 0.04, (5) 0.08 g/L phosphate during 20 34 days. The results antioxidant activity by 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay showed increasing concentration, increased significantly. enzymatic indicated time did significantly impact glutathione peroxidase (GPx), catalase (CAT), guaiacol (GPX), highest lowest being related to codes 2 control, respectively. However, had significant effect on superoxidase dismutase (SOD) activity, reported day 35. Moreover, concentration decreased cell viability hepatoblastoma (HepG-2) lines. treatment caused over 66 % damage plants solani. overall Neowestiellopsis persica, grown under higher concentrations, can be used as an effective antifungal biocontrol roots crowns.

Oral cancer treatment potentially advances with the application of C-phycocyanin (C-PC), a powerful antioxidant produced by cyanobacteria. By triggering mechanisms that impair metabolism mitochondria and cause cells to initiate apoptosis, this pigment demonstrates potent apoptotic-inducing potentials. Innovative for C-PC includes integrating it fibrous scaffolds long-term release, stimulating tissue regeneration, lowering inflammation oxidative damage after surgery. Surgical implants C-PC, such stents sutures, provide focused therapy at locations oral cancer. In order enhance therapeutic uses in cancer, further studies may investigate genetically modified microalgae. Validating these effects advancing cyanobacterial pigment-based drugs into clinical applications demand studies.
