Gut microbiota provides an important insight into clarifying the mechanism of active substances with low bioavailability, but its specific action varied case by and remained unclear. Dihydroquercetin (DHQ) is a bioactive flavonoid which showed beneficial effects on colitis alleviation gut modulation. Herein, we aimed to explore microbiota-dependent anticolitis DHQ in sight metabolites their interactions microRNAs (miRNAs). Dietary supplementation alleviated dextran sulfate sodium-induced phenotypes improved dysbiosis. Fecal transplantation further revealed that activity was mediated microbiota. To clarify how modulated mice, tandem analyses microbiome targeted metabolome were performed, altered profiles metabolite short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) bile producers observed DHQ-treated mice. In addition, SCFA treatment compared acids, along inhibition phosphoinositide-3-kinase (PI3K)-protein kinase B (Akt) pathway. Subsequently, colonic miRNA profile mice receiving sequenced, differentially expressed miR-10a-5p identified. Both prediction analysis dual-luciferase reporter assay indicated directly bind 3'-untranslated regions gene

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major global health concern. Renal fibrosis, prevalent outcome regardless of the initial cause, ultimately leads to end-stage renal disease. Glomerulosclerosis and interstitial fibrosis are primary pathological features. Preventing slowing considered effective strategies for delaying CKD progression. However, treatments lacking. Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1), nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+)-dependent deacetylase belonging class III histone deacetylases, implicated in physiological regulation protection susceptible diverse array influences, as demonstrated previous studies. Interestingly, controversial conclusions have emerged research has progressed. This review provides comprehensive summary current understanding advancements field; specifically, biological roles mechanisms SIRT1 regulating These include aspects such lipid metabolism, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, oxidative stress, aging, inflammation, autophagy. manuscript explores potential therapeutic target offers new perspectives on treatment approaches prognostic assessments.

The rising incidence of fibrosis poses a major threat to global public health, and the continuous exploration natural products for effective treatment fibrotic diseases is crucial. Berberine (BBR), an isoquinoline alkaloid, widely used clinically its anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor anti-fibrotic pharmacological effects. Until now, researchers have worked explore mechanisms BBR fibrosis, multiple studies found that attenuates through different pathways such as TGF-β/Smad, AMPK, Nrf2, PPAR-γ, NF-κB, Notch/snail axis. This review describes mechanism derivatives, safety evaluation toxicity BBR. provides important therapeutic clues strategies exploring new drugs fibrosis. Nevertheless, more studies, especially clinical are still needed. We believe with implementation high-quality significant progress will be made in

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are common bacterial in children. UTIs may be limited to the bladder or involve kidneys with possible irreversible damage. Congenital abnormalities of kidney and urinary (CAKUT) often associated UTIs; scars have been considered a consequence untreated but congenital. The mechanism by which bacteria produce inflammation system has intensively investigated. Diagnostic tools, including invasive imaging procedures, advocated infants small children not necessary most cases. Effective antibiotic drugs available, prophylactic treatment questioned. Several guidelines on simple one for general practitioners is needed.
