Abstract The utilization of biomass as a carbon source for the synthesis renewable solid acid catalysts (SA) has emerged prominent research direction in field heterogeneous catalysis. Based on challenges associated with reusing residues from lignocellulosic biorefining, biomass‐based SA (BCSA) were prepared using poplar sawdust (PS), hydrothermally pretreated PS (PPS), and residue PPS's enzymatic hydrolysis (ER). characterization revealed that all three types BCSA loaded catalytic groups, synthesized ER rich lignin components exhibited highly efficient structure. Furthermore, catalysis 20 g/L xylose solution BCSA‐ER also achieved highest furfural yield (89.3%) selectivity (90.3%). findings this study suggested holds significant potential carrier SA, thereby offering viable utilizing by‐products biorefining.
