The biosynthesis of secondary metabolites (SMs) in plants occurs various forms and amounts, their use modern medicine is widespread. Half the human necessities are derived from plant-based commodities, including fuel, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, building materials, food essentials. Many medicinal plant species utilized for therapeutic properties SMs content, but amount naturally occurring limited. Therefore, conventional novel strategies employed to enhance production bioactive components plants. Traditional methods cost-effective, easy, faster, produce fewer metabolites, while techniques such as metabolic pathways engineering, genome editing, transformation, biotechnology-based substitutions, synthetic biology more expensive offer valuable tools augmenting content. Optimizing culture media signalling involved presents an exciting opportunity increase quantity compounds present. This review summarizes different cultivation used class produced highlights benefits boosting synthesizing using techniques.

Around 65% of the mitigation needed for targeted net-zero carbon aviation emissions in 2050 is expected to come from Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs). In this study, an alternative gasification-driven Biomass-to-Liquid (BtL) concept production SAFs introduced and evaluated. particular, a fuel synthesis scheme based on double-stage fermentation produced syngas (syngas → acetic acid TAGs) assessed instead conventional Fischer-Tropsch (FT) or Alcohol-to-Jet (AtJ) synthesis. The objective present work techno-economic evaluation large-scale (200 MWth) replication mentioned BtL concept, whose performance has been simulated Aspen PlusTM (V.11) with reasonable upscaling considerations models validated at pilot scale. estimated baseline Total Capital Investment (TCI) €577 million lies typical range €500–700 that many recent studies adopt plants similar capacity, while annual operating costs €50 correspond 15–40% OpEx reduction compared such plants. A discounted cash flow analysis was carried out, Minimum Jet Selling Price (MJSP) equal 1.83 €/L calculated, 1.38–2.27 emerged sensitivity analysis. This study sets biological conversion gasification-derived into triglycerides (TAGs) as promising route SAFs. general, pathways, led by relatively mature FT AtJ technologies, are capable thriving coming years their capability advanced feedstock flexibility.

To produce high-quality slurry fuel from petroleum coke and municipal sludge, the effects of various biomass materials on characteristics were investigated experimentally. The used in this experiment classified into three categories: monosaccharides (e.g., glucose), starch-based potato residue), cellulose-based corn straw, water hyacinth, rice husk, kelp). results revealed significant variations properties influenced by different types their respective proportions. Increasing content led to a decrease solid concentration bubble sludge (bubble-PCSS). However, reduction was moderate with biomass, whereas it pronounced especially kelp. addition significantly improved pseudoplastic rheological slurry. Specifically, when incorporated, flow characteristic index approached 0.7. Optimal stability bubble-PCSS achieved at 2% level biomass. In contrast, using such as kelp, husks, they required 3-4% reach optimal stability, which somewhat less favorable than that

Beer production consumes significant amounts of water, energy, and raw materials, results in the various by-products, including wastewater, brewers’ spent grain, yeast hop. To lower its environmental footprint, by-products may be reclaimed or valorized agro-food, cosmetic, material, chemical industries, etc. According to most recent research, breweries have potential become biorefineries, as they can extract diverse valuable plant-based compounds such carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, phenolic compounds, platform chemicals, biopolymers. These biomolecules possess bioactive physicochemical properties, which enhanced through recovery processes. Brewery utilized industries within bioeconomy frame. In agro-food systems, extracts increase final products’ techno-functionalities. Such additives also help creating marketing labels clean-label healthy, further attract customers. Businesses gain economic socio-environmental benefits by implementing sustainable practices, improve their corporate image. This article outlines advancements processing valorization brewery ultimately defining an up-to-date, strategy for clean beer production.
