The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the limitations of urban public health emergency response capabilities. Taking Wuhan as an example, this study used breakpoint regression, kernel density analysis, overlay and accessibility analysis from Stata ArcGIS, divided epidemic prevention facilities into basic (hospitals), (mobile cabin hospitals) for further analysis. results showed that over 70% in were located high population areas. On contrary, most low local treatment effect implementation facility policy is about 1, indicating there was a significant impact on outbreak control, which passed bandwidth test. What’s more, residential points revealed more than 67.3% people could arrive at within 15 min, only 0.1% them took 20 min to arrive. Therefore, can effectively curb spread epidemic, areas quickly get there. This summarized spatial characteristics analyzed importance them, thus providing new perspective future research upgrading city’s comprehensive disaster system.

The greening of urban environments plays a crucial role in mitigating the adverse effects urbanization, such as air pollution and heat island effect, can provide numerous benefits to residents, including opportunities for leisure improved mental health. On other hand, there is great demand utilize renewable energy systems cities mitigate greenhouse gas emission. Building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) technology one most promising solutions harvest clean electricity on-site support zero carbon transition cities. combination BIPV green spaces presents mutually advantageous scenario, providing multiple optimized land usage. However, despite its potential, dearth scientific research systematically examining this integrated strategy. This paper investigated three key aspects related integration greenery environments. Specifically, aimed explore: 1) overall design considerations performance impacts greenery; 2) challenges involved integrating these two systems; 3) prospects approach. methodology comprehensive review analysis examination was conducted from various perspectives, shading, irrigation, performance, aesthetics, materials, installation. principal findings are twofold: firstly, yield beneficial outcomes; secondly, cooling effect on primarily hinges distance between components surrounding microclimate. These underscore potential coupling with greening, positioning it sustainable approach future building development.

Cool roofs offer a passive solution to reduce cooling demand in buildings. However, they increase heating cold seasons. The annual energy-saving potential of cool greatly depends on climate characteristics and may change over time due global warming. This is particularly important for mild temperate climates, which the roofs' benefits exceed their penalties future. To understand impact building energy each explore future potential, these should be evaluated under both present climates. Accordingly, this study aims to: 1) quantify savings (or penalties) wide range conditions (from hot climates); 2) evaluate energy-savings climates; 3) predict when (and scenarios) will improve buildings' thermal performance or Results showed that loads by up 14% 22% tropical subtropical climates respectively. Abstract Comprehensive studies comparing impacts of building and street levels interventions on air temperature at metropolitan scales are still lacking despite increased urban heat‐related mortality morbidity. We therefore model the impact 9 temperatures 2 m during hot days from summer 2018 in Greater London Authority area using WRF BEP‐BEM climate model. find that average cool roofs most effectively reduce (∼−1.2°C), outperforming green (∼0°C), solar panels (∼−0.5°C) level vegetation (∼−0.3°C). Application conditioning across (United Kingdom) increases by ∼+0.15°C. A practicable deployment could cover its related energetic consumption. Current deployments ineffective large scale reduction temperatures. provide a detailed decomposition surface energy balance to explain changes guide future decision‐making.
