Purpose Artificial intelligence (AI) applications enable entrepreneurs in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to make strategic decisions based on more accurate predictions modeling scenarios achieve operational efficiency profitability. Purpose Many family-owned small businesses (F-OSBs) struggled to digitalize their operations and achieve digital innovation performance during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading significant hardships setbacks. In this paper, we investigate how an agile mindset in descendant entrepreneurs promotes F-OSBs through mediating role of creative centrality fintech usage. We also examine financial literacy moderates link between innovative behaviors usage; “not-invented-here” syndrome (NIHS) association usage, ultimately impacting F-OSBs. Design/methodology/approach Primary data from 226 predecessors were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings The findings revealed that usage mediate relationship Financial does not moderate but presence NIHS predecessor entrepreneur behavior (fintech centrality) performance. Research limitations/implications This study has several limitations provide opportunities for future research. First, used cross-sectional data, which limits ability establish causal relationships variables. The aim of this study is to explore the effect digital leadership (DL) on creative performance (CP) by investigating mediating roles strategic agility (SA) and organizational learning culture (OLC) in tourism hospitality industry. analyzed 320 responses from middle-level management at five-star hotels category-A travel agencies Egypt using PLS-SEM technique WarpPLS statistical software 7.0.
