This study examines the usage and perceptions of ChatGPT, an AI-driven language model, among Bachelor Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students at Nueva Ecija University (NEUST) Cabanatuan City, Philippines. Utilizing a descriptive research design, investigates both learning outcomes ethical concerns associated with ChatGPT's application academic professional tasks. The focuses on how ChatGPT influences students' knowledge acquisition, efficiency, satisfaction, along challenges perceived relation to integrity. Data were collected using structured survey from sample 200 selected via stratified random sampling ensure gender- year-level representation. analyzed weighted means measure satisfaction concerns, while qualitative responses underwent thematic analysis explore students’ perspectives implications tool. findings reveal that view as valuable aid enhancing efficiency accessing knowledge. One of the main challenges in higher education management is complexity resource optimization and increasing volumes data, which limits efficiency accuracy decision-making. The application artificial intelligence can address these issues.The present study aims to identify key trends, knowledge gaps, opportunities for further research into economic effects using ChatGPT tools education. For this purpose, a systematic literature review was conducted screen scientific articles related topic indexed Web Science Scopus from 1986 2024. A total 234 were selected, all demonstrating positive growth both scholarly output citation count. identified contributors on by region (the United States, China, India). It concluded that relevant centers are still at an early stage their development. Based bibliometric clusters formed co-occurrence relations, three areas defined: 1) decision-making; 2) process automation digital transformation educational institutions; 3) technologies highlights education, including reducing administrative costs, saving time teachers students, improving quality accessibility process. This study investigates the role and impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in academic research using a comprehensive bibliometric approach. A dataset 515 documents, retrieved from Scopus database spanning 2017 to 2025, was analyzed various tools, including Vosviewer, Excel, Biblioshiny, R Studio. The search string ("Generative AI AND research") guided systematic exploration literature. analysis reveals significant increase scholarly attention toward AI, highlighting its transformative potential across disciplines. Vosviewer facilitated network visualization, identifying key thematic clusters collaboration patterns among authors, institutions, countries. Excel provided detailed trend analysis, illustrating growth trajectory publication dynamics over specified period. Biblioshiny Studio enabled deeper insights into citation patterns, evolution, hotspots. Consequently, this identifies trends within 2025 analysis. This study examines the distinguishing markers between AI-generated and human-created texts within university education, specifically in context of student assignments. Using a multimodal qualitative approach, we analysed selected Bachelor’s Master’s theses, identifying recurring characteristics content. Key include among others: fragmented argumentation flow, specific use language, formulaic structures, excessive objectivity, which contrast with more nuanced cohesive style typical human writing. The research also includes survey responses from students across two universities (Europe & Asia), revealing varied attitudes towards AI academic work.
