Radiation-induced enteritis is an unavoidable complication associated with pelvic tumor radiotherapy, significantly influencing the prognosis of cancer patients. The limited availability commercial gastrointestinal radioprotectors in clinical settings poses a substantial challenge preventing radiation enteritis. Despite inherent radioprotective characteristics Cur vitro, its poor solubility water, instability, and low bioavailability lead to inferior therapeutic effects vivo. Herein, we developed novel ROS-responsive micelles (CTI) from inulin curcumin, aimed at mitigating CTI had excellent stability. Importantly, improved cytotoxicity thereby showing enhanced effectiveness neutralizing ROS induced by radiation, safeguarding against DNA damage, reducing radiation-induced cellular mortality. Moreover, mice model, not only alleviated severe intestinal injury but also redox-related indicators reduced inflammatory cytokine expression. Furthermore, effectively increased gut microbiota abundance maintained homeostasis. In conclusion, could be promising candidate for management Our study provides new perspective radioprotection using natural antioxidants.

Regenerative hydrogels from natural polymers have come forth as auspicious materials for use in regenerative medicine, with interest attributed to their intrinsic biodegradability, biocompatibility, and ability reassemble the extracellular matrix. This review covers latest advances used wound healing, focusing on chemical composition, cross-linking mechanisms, functional properties. Key carbohydrate polymers, including alginate, chitosan, hyaluronic acid, polysaccharide gums, agarose, carrageenan, xanthan gum, are discussed terms of sources, structures specific properties suitable applications. The further explores categorization based ionic charge, response physiological stimuli (i.e., pH, temperature) particularized roles tissue self-healing. Various methods enhance mechanical biological performance these also examined. By highlighting recent innovations ongoing challenges, this article intends give a detailed understanding potential revolutionize medicine improve patient healing outcomes.

Surgical site infection (SSI) is a feared complication in liver resection. Developing wound dressings that effectively combat bacterial and promote tissue regeneration clinically significant. Herein, we present near-infrared (NIR) light-responsive multifunctional hydrogel system (PDA/Mup@DA-HA) consisting of mupirocin-loaded polydopamine nanoparticles (PDA) dopamine-modified hyaluronic acid (DA-HA) to accelerate bacteria-infected healing. The hybrid has good adhesion three-dimensional porous structure, which can adapt the shape for adequate hemostasis provide suitable microenvironment doped inside are uniformly distributed have functions loading antibacterial drugs photothermal therapy. Therefore, excellent quickly attach infected wounds generate controllable local hyperthermia under light irradiation, induce destruction integrity, increase effective release drug mupirocin, thereby synergistically leading inactivation. Notably, animal model indicates significantly healing caused by infections irradiation reducing inflammatory reactions promoting vascular reconstruction. dressing provides reliable tool treating bacterial-infected clinical applications.
