A molecularly imprinted polymer membrane (MIPM) was prepared using PVDF as the support and phenytoin (PHT) a single template. The results indicated that MIPMs can be used to extract PHT, phenobarbital, lamotrigine in different matrices.

Pharmaceuticals are increasingly recognized as contaminants of emerging concern in aquatic environments due to their potential ecological impacts. In Canada, pharmaceutical pollution remains an under-regulated issue within federal chemical management policy. This study critically examines the extent which Canada's Chemicals Management Plan (CMP), under Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), addresses risks posed by pharmaceuticals freshwater systems. Through a review recent legislation and scientific information, identifies regulatory gaps, including limitations current wastewater treatment practices risk assessments. The CMP sets out guidelines for assessing managing chemicals CEPA minimize toxic substances. Despite evidence toxicity ecosystems, relatively few have been assessed CMP. article explores how multi-level governments can strengthen governance, particularly light 2023 legislative amendments CEPA. Drawing on comparative insights from European Union, emphasizes need integrate expanded screening criteria, enhanced monitoring, revised persistence bioaccumulation thresholds into framework. These improvements would enable Canada adopt more adaptive precautionary approach ecosystems while contributing global efforts that advance sustainable water practices.

The safety of cyclophosphamide (CP) in the early developmental stages is not studied yet; it important to study responses at these because they might have relevance CP-administered humans. These found be concentration- duration-dependent effects physiological endpoints, whereas concentration-dependent antioxidants, apoptosis endpoints. Biomarkers standardised using integrated biomarker response-IBRv2 index. IBRv2 index showed a behaviour. A non-lethal teratogenic effect was embryos/larvae concentrations. biomarkers are sensitive, interrelated; thus, their useful assess veiled unseen hazards pharmaceuticals.
