In the postpandemic era, to tackle engineering challenge from concurrent outbreak of routine and emerging viral respiratory infections, microfluidic-chip-based point-of-care screening multiple pathogens becomes essential for decentralized epidemic diagnosis management. Toward real-world POCT, state-of-the-art microfluidic diagnostic devices are limited by in-plane design fluidic circuit, which highly relies on external pumping apparatus sample injection distribution thus greatly hampers their portability accessibility. this work, inspired pump-free water absorption mechanism plant root hairs, we report a self-powered hand-held sensing platform simultaneous rapid nucleic acid pathogens, such as influenza A B SARS-CoV-2. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a caused by the infectious agent of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The primary method diagnosing SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid detection, but this requires specialized equipment and time consuming. Therefore, sensitive, simple, rapid, low-cost diagnostic test needed. Graphene field-effect transistor (GFET) biosensors have become most promising technology for detecting due to their advantages high sensitivity, fast-detection speed, label-free operation, low detection limit. This review mainly focus on three types GFET detect SARS-CoV-2. can quickly identify within ultra-low limits. Finally, we will outline pros cons approaches as well future directions.

This review aims to explore the role of professional diagnostic rapid testing acute respiratory infections (ARIs), especially COVID-19 and influenza, ensuring proper disease management treatment in Europe, particularly Czech Republic, Poland, Romania. Fluorescent immunochromatographic test strips are critical for highly sensitive, rapid detection. However, their sensitivity detecting trace biomarkers is often affected by autofluorescence and photon absorption of the samples (nitrocellulose membrane substrates blood chromophores). Here, we report first time an strip based on near-infrared (NIR) persistent luminescence nanoparticles (PLNPs) sensitive detection biomarker N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP). NIR PLNPs exhibit long (PersL) properties after excitation, allowing separation excitation detection, thereby eliminating sample interference. In addition, PersL in region greatly reduces photons sample, further improving sensitivity. After optimization, can detect NT-proBNP at levels as low 15.28 pg/mL, which covers required clinical range. The assay demonstrated a recovery rate 94–101% human serum samples, inter intrabatch coefficients variation were less than 15%. concentrations measured correlated well with those Roche electrochemiluminescence immunoassay, widely used practice. This has potential applications immediate biomarkers.
