A Copper(II) oxide material was synthesized and its efficiency in degrading Tannic acid (TA) investigated using ultraviolet (UV) irradiation CuO activated peroxymonosulfate (PMS). The particle catalyst exhibited exceptional activity characterized XRD, SEM, Raman spectroscopy, laser diffraction size analysis (LDPS). influence of calcination temperature, UV power, PMS dosage, coexisting anions on the degradation rate TA examined. research results demonstrate that addition a structural guide enhances catalytic performance CuO. Among different temperatures investigated, calcined at 500 °C demonstrates best achieves highest under neutral conditions. Under optimal conditions 0.1 g/L 1.2 mmol/L PMS, 15 mg/L within 40 min 97.69%, total organic carbon removal 69.85%. Quenching experiments confirmed participation multiple active species decomposition process. After five experimental cycles, maintained above 92%. Furthermore, HPLC-MS employed to identify potential intermediates TA.
