Abstract Youth suicide and related behaviors continue to be a significant public health concern in the USA. Multiple approaches across settings, including schools, are required address this multi-faceted concern. The Texas Suicide Safer Schools Report recommended that districts post prevention information on their websites as one piece of more comprehensive initiatives. However, there is no examination literature whether recommendation has been implemented what, if any, accessible parents students about school district websites. The persistence of extreme suicide disparities in American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth signals a severe health inequity with distinct associations to colonial experience historical on-going cultural, social, economic, political oppression. To address this complex issue, we describe three AI/AN prevention efforts that illustrate how strengths-based community interventions across the spectrum can buffer risk factors associated structural racism. Developed implemented collaboration tribal partners using participatory methods, strategies include universal, selective, indicated elements. We conducted a retrospective cohort study of medical records from large, Maryland, U.S.-based pediatric primary care patients for potential associations between antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral prescriptions subsequent suicidal thoughts and/or behaviors. Abstract The increase in adolescent suicide rates the United States is a pervasive public health issue, and ethnoracial youth with diverse identities are disproportionately impacted, yet less studied. National planning efforts reinforce state-level approaches to prevention through an equitable lens prevent suicide. Abstract Adolescents from ethnoracially minoritized backgrounds increasingly report high rates of attempted suicide, trauma exposure, and limited access to mental healthcare services. However, less is known regarding their use services across different youth‐serving systems. This study examines the associations interactions between self‐injurious thoughts behaviors (SITBs), race/ethnicity, service sector utilization (mental healthcare, general school, social services) among a sample trauma‐exposed treatment‐seeking adolescents. Antecedentes. El suicidio es un problema de salud pública. Los intentos suicidas (IS) en adolescentes aumentaron drásticamente durante la pandemia COVID-19. Objetivo. Identificar frecuencia los casos IS atendidos el servicio urgencias por temporalidad (en últimos cinco años) y describir posibles factores riesgo y/o desencadenantes algunas características del así como solicitud atención. Material Métodos. Estudio observacional, retrospectivo descriptivo revisión expedientes, 2018 a 2023. Resultados. Se revisaron 296 expedientes con diagnóstico IS. 74% fueron mujeres, 56% eran tardíos, 43% tempranos 1% niños. Hubo 266% incremento pandemia. Por mes enero prepandemia cantidad fue más alta disminuyó, sucedió manera inversa para meses febrero, marzo, julio septiembre. principales fueron: conflictos interpersonales (64.19%), estrés social (57.43%), agudización trastorno mental previo (56.08%), antecedente (48.31%), divorcio padres (31.42%) vivir diferentes formas violencia [psicológica (28.33%), sexual (18.92%) pares (16.55%)]. horario atención se concentró principalmente turnos vespertino nocturno (79.39%). Conclusiones. Durante hubo Intento Suicidio cambios presentación.

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, crisis in Palestine, and continued rise hate crimes against Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities, clinical social work praxis centering on intersectional identities queer transgender AAPI communities has never been more vital. Through visioning an approach that addresses these intersecting our own experiences with racism, cisheterosexism, transphobia, we propose a theoretical framework, Queer AZN Pasifika Critical Race Theory (CRT), for praxis. Specifically, describe six tenets CRT approach, which include (1) Queer, Brown Asianization; (2) Challenging mainstream ideologies about Asians, Islanders, Transgender Americans; (3) Global, decolonial perspectives; (4) Re-constructive histories; (5) Multidisciplinary story, practice, praxis, voice; (6) Social Justice perspective. We present cases as opportunity to explore reflect practice trans people through lens CRT.

Objective Suicide among Black adolescent youth has steadily increased in recent years, yet few studies describe how facets of social identity shape suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STBs) during this critical stage development. Ethnic represents an underexplored, important element that may contribute to differential associations with STBs. This study examined the association between ethnic self-reported ideation, planning, attempts.Methods Data were drawn from 1,170 African American (n = 810) Caribbean 368) adolescents aged 13–17 (Mean age 15) participated National Survey Life Adolescent supplement study.Results Using latent profile analyses, three patterns identified: Undifferentiated, Low Identification, Alienated. more likely be Identification class relative Undifferentiated class. Adolescents group reported higher proportions attempts compared remaining groups.Conclusion Findings demonstrate is aspect can influence STBs adolescents. In this 2022 Presidential Plenary, we discuss the challenges faced by neurologists neuroscientists professionally personally. We review threats posed to neuroscience activities, materials, productivity, funding. then impact on clinical trials for neurologic diseases.
