Malachite green (MG) dye is a common industrial and organic contaminant that can be found in (waste)water. Textile food industries make use of MG as dyeing coloring agents, respectively. However, both genotoxic mutagenic. Hence, the elimination from MG-laden-wastewater germane. This review summarizes up-to-date researches have been reported literature regards decontamination toxic wastewater. Various removal methods (adsorption, membrane, Fenton system, heterogenous homogeneous photodegradation) were discussed. Water pollution caused by population growth and human activities is a critical problem exacerbated limited freshwater resources increasing water demands. Various sectors contribute to pollution, with the dairy industry being significant contributor due high concentrations of harmful contaminants in wastewater. Traditional treatment methods have been employed, but they limitations terms effectiveness, cost, environmental impact. Water reuse is a viable option to address temporal or structural water shortages. However, the ubiquitous presence of chemicals emerging concern (CECs) in natural systems, especially aquatic environment, represents significant obstacle and receiving environment. Therefore, an extensive literature review was performed identify current practices at field scale, reported types levels CECs their associated risks for human environmental health. Treated wastewater primary reused source, with agricultural being most frequently application (28 %), followed by indirect-potable (16 %). Contrary potable reuse, it observed that almost no studies applied additional treatment before purposes. Based on calculated risk quotients, ecological were identified perfluorooctanesulfonic acid, chlorpyrifos, triclocarban, ethinylestradiol, health acid perfluorooctanoic acid. Environmental could be assessed 77 % detected CECs, while assessment limited 28 %. Remediated water reuse is becoming vital for sustainable management, reducing the strain on freshwater resources, particularly in agriculture and industrial activities.
