Among the several noxious characteristics of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) is a low environmental degradation rate, as they remain in environment for decades. One measures adopted to mitigate contamination imposition bans and restrictions chemical compounds. But are being efficient reduce amount such chemicals environment? In this systematic review, we analyzed efficacy banning POPs using bats biomonitors terrestrial habitats. Although provide relevant ecosystem services, these animals highly exposed organic pollutants due their feeding behavioral habits. POP concentrations were observed biological tissues genus Myotis (United States), with levels decreasing over years since ban. We also noticed shortage studies neotropical regions, where information gap on tropical systems still concern terms history intensive use toxic chemicals. Few found emerging or recently included Stockholm Convention. Besides, specimens analyses reviewed not separated by sex age, which may conceal potential risk conservation bat populations. recommend that future research extends beyond chronic include assessment trials, wild populations be affected long-term, well role economy, requiring long-term studies.

Abstract Deltamethrin (Del), a widely administered pyrethroid insecticide, has been established as common contaminant of the freshwater environment and detected in many ecosystems. In this study, we investigated changes brain transcriptome metabolome crucian carp after exposure to 0.6 μg/L Del for 28 days. Elevated MDA levels inhibition SOD activity indicate damage antioxidant system. Moreover, total 70 differential metabolites (DMs) were identified using liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry, including 32 upregulated 38 downregulated DMs Del‐exposed group. The associated with chronic enriched steroid hormone biosynthesis, fatty acid metabolism, glycerophospholipid metabolism prostaglandin G2, 5‐oxoeicosatetraenoic acid, progesterone, androsterone, etiocholanolone, hydrocortisone. Transcriptomics analysis revealed that caused lipid disorder, endocrine disruption, proinflammatory immune response by upregulating pla2g4 , cox2 log5 ptgis lcn cbr expression. Importantly, integrative transcriptomics metabolomics indicated arachidonic pathway biosynthesis decisive processes tissue exposure. Furthermore, perturbed tight junction, HIF‐1 signaling pathway, thyroid pathway. Overall, data our study offer new insight assess risk fish brains.
