Nowadays, parents, caretakers, teachers and researchers have an increasing interest in the development consequences of problematic social media use, especially among adolescents. A growing body research investigates factors that may influence use. This study examined role broader context parental (time spent with parents family support), peer (peer support pressure), individual (perceived self-control) adolescents' risky use (ref = normative), as well moderating self-control by using a longitudinal design. Abstract Objective Many studies have explored the relationship between childhood trauma and internet addiction from different theoretical perspectives; however, results been inconsistent. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to examine addiction. Methods PubMed, Web Science, Embase, CNKI, Wanfang VIP electronic databases were searched identify examining correlation adolescent inception December 31, 2022. Abstract Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to smartphone overdependence. Therefore, we identified the factors influencing overdependence and risk subgroups among adolescents. The current study is a secondary analysis of nationally representative data from 2020 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey. survey targeted middle- high-school students in South aged 12–18 using stratified, clustered, multistage probability sampling, 53,457 793 schools participated this study.
