Lipid membranes form the primary structure of cell and serve as configurable interfaces across numerous applications including biosensing technologies, antifungal treatments, therapeutic platforms. Therefore, modification lipid by additives has important consequences in both biological processes practical applications. In this study, we investigated a nicotinic-acid–based gemini surfactant (NAGS) chemically tunable molecular additive for modulating phase behavior liposomal membranes. We specifically focused on NAGS with hydrocarbon chains that mirror those molecules. By introducing to phosphatidylcholine lipids identical varied chain lengths or degrees unsaturation, demonstrated effects headgroup interactions mismatch between membrane lipids. Using small-angle X-ray scattering, showed regardless compatibility mismatch, reduced thickness packing density fluid Further observations fluorescence microscopy revealed emergence ordered-disordered domains upon cooling room temperature. The observed phases were quite distinct from analogous compositions, emphasizing importance chemistry mediating domain formation stabilization. During previous stages of research, high biocidal activity toward microorganism archival strains has been used as the main indicator in development new antiseptic formulations. Recently, scientist study the role of surfactants for carbon steel corrosion protection. In present study, newly tetra-cationic surfactant (CS4: 1,N1'-(ethane-1,2-diyl) bis (N1, N2-didodecyl-N2-(2- (((E)-3-hydroxy-4-methoxy-benzylidene)amino)ethyl)ethane-1,2-diaminium) chloride) based on Schiff-base compound(5,5'-((1E,17E)-2,5,8,11,14,17-hexaazaoctadeca-1,17-diene-1,18-diyl)bis(2-methoxyphenol) was synthesised, purified and characterized using FTIR 1HNMR spectroscopy. The synthesized Tetra-cationic (CS4) evaluated as anti-corrosion (CS-metal) in aggressive 1 M HCl electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) potentiodynamic polarization techniques (PDP). The use of surfactants in oil recovery can effectively improve crude rate. Due to the enhanced salt and temperature resistance surfactant molecules by non-ionic chain segments, anionic groups have good emulsifying stability. Currently, there are many studies on for China, but is relatively little systematic research introducing EOs into hydrophobic alkyl chains, especially their self-assembly behavior. This article proposes a simple effective synthesis method, using 3-aminopropane sulfonic acid, fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether, epichlorohydrin as raw materials, insert EO chains synthesize series new Gemini (CnEO-5, n = 8, 12, 16). surface activity, thermodynamic properties, behavior these were systematically studied through tension, conductivity, steady-state fluorescence probes, transmission electron microscopy, molecular dynamics simulations. tension test results show that CnEO-5 has high activity higher than traditional single structurally similar surfactants. Additionally, parameters (e.g., ΔG°mic ΔH°mic ΔS°mic et al. indicate exothermic spontaneous during micellization process. DLS, p-values, TEM with shorter (such C8EO-5) tend form larger vesicles aqueous solutions, which formed tail staggered manner; Negative longer C12EO-5, C16EO-5) small micelles. certain application prospects improving recovery.

Novel cationic amphiphiles of the 3-alkyl-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-imidazol-3-ium bromide series bearing methoxyphenyl fragments (MPI-n) have been synthesized. Their aggregation properties in aqueous solutions, solubilization capacity, and hemolytic antimicrobial activities investigated by a number physicochemical methods. Using tensiometry, conductometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, it was shown that MPI-n lower CMCs than their nonfunctionalized counterparts. The unusual alkyl-chain-length-dependent morphology aggregates is testified for this homological series. Amphiphiles with 12, 14, 16 alkyl tails are characterized formation micellar aggregates, while surfactant decyl tail larger surface curvature. MPI-10 aggregate rationalized terms packing parameter consideration supported size measurements probe techniques, which showed vesicle-like close-packing mode probably occur. exhibited high capacity toward hydrophobic azo dye Orange OT. Importantly, studied (i) bacteriostatic activity at level ciprofloxacin; (ii) bactericidal action against all Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant strains; (iii) Gram-negative bacteria; (iv) low activity.

A synthesis procedure and aggregation properties of a new homologous series dicationic gemini surfactants with dodecane spacer two carbamate fragments (N,N'-dialkyl-N,N'-bis(2-(ethylcarbamoyloxy)ethyl)-N,N'-dimethyldodecan-1,6-diammonium dibromide, n-12-n(Et), where n = 10, 12, 14) were comprehensively described.
