Multidrug-resistant bacteria are among the most challenges in healthcare systems. According to World Health Organization, these that belong critical and high-priority groups resistant carbapenem or multiple antibiotics, respectively. They commonly associated with bone, skin, soft tissue infections, current treatment strategies involve use of oral intravenous antibiotics. Consequently, infected injured sites benefit from combined antimicrobial regenerative action during tissues' repair. The high demand for effective solutions led development biocompatible antibacterial polymeric membranes local therapy. These highly porous composed by nanofibers' network providing a matrix cellular proliferation release agents. Nowadays, there several techniques produce nanofibers like template synthesis, self-assembly, freeze-drying, melt-blowing, electrospinning, others. Electrospinning emerges production intrinsic characteristics. surface area-to-volume ratio nanometric diameters allow mimicking innate tissues increasing biomedical fields' attention. Therefore, electrospun become favoured as drug delivery systems, improving drugs' dissolution rates while maximizing their action. Additionally, they permits loading drugs higher concentrations control rate without toxicity. Hence, antibiotics have been common encapsulated medicinal compounds using numerous polymers combinations carriers. versatility electrospinning advanced approaches which combine complex locally provide agents through same platform consider different profiles. Overall, further developments should continue systems meet clinical requirements.

Abstract Antibiotics are recognized widely for their benefits when used appropriately. However, they often inappropriately despite the importance of responsible use within good clinical practice. Effective antibiotic treatment is an essential component universal healthcare, and it a global responsibility to ensure appropriate use. Currently, pharmaceutical companies have little incentive develop new antibiotics due scientific, regulatory, financial barriers, further emphasizing To address this issue, Global Alliance Infections in Surgery established international multidisciplinary task force 295 experts from 115 countries with different backgrounds. The developed position statement called WARNING (Worldwide Antimicrobial Resistance National/International Network Group) aimed at raising awareness antimicrobial resistance improving prescribing practices worldwide. outlined 10 axioms, or “golden rules,” that all healthcare workers should consistently adhere

Denmark has a low level of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Patients hospitalized with suspected infection often present unspecific symptoms. This challenges the physician between using narrow-spectrum antibiotics in accordance guidelines or broad-spectrum to compensate for diagnostic uncertainty. The aim this study was investigate adherence restrictive antibiotic guideline most common emergency departments (EDs), namely community-acquired pneumonia (CAP).This multicenter descriptive cross-sectional included adults admitted Danish EDs infection. Data were collected prospectively from medical records. We 954 patients analysis. prescribed penicillin beta-lactamase inhibitor at 4 h (307 (32.2%)), 48 (289 (30.3%)), and day 5 after admission (218 (22.9%)). empirical treatment CAP followed 126 (31.3%) patients. At h, administered intravenously 244 (60.7%) 5, 218 (54.4%) received oral antibiotics.Adherence poor. In country policy, infections are commonly treated against recommendations.
