In this study, the potential value of dried grape pomace (whole, seed, and skin) obtained from Fetească Neagră (FN) Tămâioasă Românească (TR) as a source secondary metabolites was evaluated following hydroethanolic extraction. The total polyphenol, flavonoid, anthocyanin contents FN TR extracts have been determined, along with their antioxidant antimicrobial activities. investigation seeds whole revealed higher levels content in comparison to those extracted TR. Fifteen polyphenolic compounds were identified through ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) analysis. most abundant concentrations catechin epicatechin detected seed derived both Romanian varieties. activity skin than evaluation demonstrated that 15 out 18 reference pathogenic bacteria exhibited low MIC MBC values, indicating strong antibacterial extracts. No anti-Candida observed. It can be reasonably deduced by-products represent sustainable resource for development new functional ingredients pharmaceutical food industries, alignment principles circular bioeconomy.

Phytopathogenic fungi are responsible for diseases in commercially important crops and cause major supply problems the global food chain. Plants were able to protect themselves from disease before humans played an active role protecting plants. They known synthesize a variety of secondary metabolites (SMs), such as terpenes, alkaloids, phenolic compounds, which can be extracted using conventional unconventional techniques formulate biofungicides; plant extracts have antifungal activity various mechanisms action against these organisms. In addition, they considered non-phytotoxic potentially effective control. sustainable economically viable alternative use agriculture, is why biofungicides increasingly recognized attractive option solve caused by synthetic fungicides. Currently, organic farming continues grow, highlighting importance developing environmentally friendly alternatives crop production. This review provides compilation literature on biosynthesis, phytopathogens, extraction formulation biofungicides, biological phytopathogenic fungi, regulation, advantages, disadvantages overview current agriculture.

Abstract Despite the importance of potato crops for food security, it is threatened by fungal diseases. Late blight caused Phytophthora infestans one oomycetes that pose a major threat to global production. In this review, we compiled recent data on P . impacts with focus management approaches. We discussed mycelium and sporangia leaves, tuber, plants in field during storage. Concerning approaches, demonstrated negative chemical fungicides environment public health, as well development resistance treated Further, analyzed eco-friendly methods natural products such medicinal plant extracts microbial agents. Essential oils (EOs) showed higher antifungal activities against spores due their richness compounds polyphenols, flavonoids, sterols, terpenoids, alkaloids. These biomolecules impact membranes, mitochondria, enzymes, hyphae pathogen cells. Due lower stability extracts, nanotechnologies nanoencapsulation EOs were also clarify promoting role enhancing derivatives. Other modern RNA interference biological control agents (BCAs) included. end, limits challenges approaches demonstrate ability substitute fungicides.

Antibiotics are effective in treating bacterial infections, but their widespread use has spurred antibiotic resistance, which is linked closely with human disease. While dietary components known to influence the gut microbiome, specific effects on resistome-the collection of antibiotic-resistant genes gut-remain underexplored. This review outlines mechanisms action and development emphasizing connection between resistome diseases such as metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, liver nervous system disorders. It also discusses diet habits components, including bioactive macronutrients, phytochemicals, probiotics, composition by enhancing efficacy potentially reducing resistance. highlights emerging trend increasing interest functional foods aimed at targeting a growing focus plant compounds potential modulate

In recent years, medicinal plants have gained significant attention in modern medicine due to their accessibility, affordability, widespread acceptance, and safety, making herbal remedies highly valued globally. Consequently, ensuring plants’ quality, efficacy, safety has become a critical concern for developed developing nations. The emergence of multidrug-resistant microorganisms poses serious global health threat, particularly low-income regions, despite advancements antimicrobial drugs medical research over the past century. rapid spread these infections is primarily attributed improper prescriptions, overuse, unregulated access antibiotics. Addressing challenges, standardization plant-derived pharmaceuticals could pave way transformative era healthcare. Preserving leveraging historical knowledge essential before such valuable information lost. Recently, there been growing interest among natural pharmaceutical scientists exploring as potential sources agents. This current review aims identify most common pathogens threatening human health, analyze factors contributing rise drug-resistant microorganisms, evaluate use across various countries alternative antibiotics, highlighting unique mechanisms resistance.
