Iron oxide nanoparticles (NPs) have attracted substantial interest due to their superparamagnetic features, biocompatibility, and nontoxicity. The latest progress in the biological production of Fe3O4 NPs by green methods has improved quality applications significantly. In the last decades, corrosion control of metals and their alloys has been environmental, aesthetic, economic, technical importance. Catalysts played a crucial role in advancing modern human civilization, from ancient times to the industrial revolution. Due high cost and limited availability of traditional catalysts, there is need develop cost-effective, high-activity, nonprecious metal-based electrocatalysts. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as an ideal candidate for heterogeneous catalysis due their physicochemical properties, hybrid inorganic/organic structures, uncoordinated metal sites, accessible organic sections. MOFs are nanoporous crystalline materials that can be used catalysts facilitate polymerization reactions. Their chemical structural diversity make them effective various reactions compared catalysts. been applied gas storage separation, ion-exchange, drug delivery, luminescence, sensing, nanofilters, water purification, catalysis. This study demonstrates the ability of Convolvulus microphyllus extract to prevent low-carbon steel corrosion (LCS) by varying inhibitor concentration. The effectiveness reaction was examined using gravimetric techniques and electrochemical procedures in a corrosive 0.5 M sulfuric acid medium. results polarization show mixed adsorption nature on LCS surface. C. microphyllus-derived film (extract) had an inhibition efficiency (IE) 92.47% at concentration 600 mg/L temperature 298 K. To examine morphology, scanning electron microscope (SEM) atomic force (AFM) were used analyze external films that protect from acid. A thin protective coat outside substrate follows Langmuir isotherm. Additionally, computational exploration provided vital insights. these experimental inhibitory outcomes are consistent with those molecular dynamic simulations.
