From the perspective of water resources, revealing potential sustainable production crops, clarifying obstacles, and taking effective measures in advance can not only provide residents with long-term sufficient nutritious food needs but also help to promote security economic benefits. Previous studies on this aspect have mainly focused crops paid less attention cash crops. This study takes Northwest China as research area, which is a typical arid semi-arid region most prominent contradiction between supply demand. We analyzed changing characteristics available footprint, total footprint over time from systematically analyze for development. The results showed that regional resource consumption 2000–2020 significant upward trend (p < 0.01). Similarly, load index increased period, by 164.3%. Water resources pressure level III I, there no further development potential. At same time, proportion agricultural was forcibly reduced 9.0%. Fortunately, crop decreasing 0.01), decrease 43.6%. Among them, grain decreased 45.4% 49.5% respectively. Although reduced, increasing meet consumer increase 13.4%. are compressed, amount needed significantly, poses challenges According results, detailed recommended put forward available, improving utilization efficiency blue green water, yield level, so better serve global security.

With the expected colonization of human daily life by artificial intelligence, including in industry productivity, deployment Industry 4.0 (I4) food agriculture (FAI) is to revolutionize and galvanize production increase efficiency industry's match, tandem, a country's gross domestic productivity. Based on literature review, there have been almost no direct relationships between I4—Food-Agriculture (I4FA) Nexus agroecosystem. This study aimed evaluate state-of-the-art I4FA agroecosystem discuss challenges sustainable FAI that can be assisted I4 technologies. objective was fulfilled (a) reviewing all relevant publications (b) drawing conceptual relationship agroecosystem, which categorized into socio-economic environmental (SEE) perspectives. Four points are highlighted present review. First, technology projected grow agricultural sectors today future. Second, output may benefit from considering SEE benefits. Third, implementing challenging journey for FAI, especially small medium enterprises (SMEs). Fourth, environmental, social, governance (ESG) principles help manage I4's implementation food. The advantages include social benefits like increased occupational safety, workers' health, quality, security, safety; economic benefits, using sensors reduce costs, supply chain; (c) reducing chemical leaching fertilizer use. However, more studies needed address adaptability, trust, privacy, income uncertainty, SMEs or businesses nations with lower resources; this will require time adaptation make transition away ecology. For ESG-sustainable, could an answer support open-minded dialogue platform ESG-minded leaders complement agroecosystems global scale.

The seed is the most primary requirement of agriculture. Hence, it crucial to maintain quality seeds through nature-based solutions having multiple benefits. Among pre-sowing techniques, bio-priming has emerged out be simple, economical, and eco-friendly delivery system beneficial microorganisms in agroecosystem. Therefore, comprehension regarding applicability restoring soil health, improving plant nutrition, maintaining crop/seed a major role achieving UN-Sustainable Development Goals such as no poverty, zero hunger, good health well-being, etc. Our efforts minimize nonrenewable energy sources promote use microbial resources at community level need re-emphasized. Identification sustainability indicators like enzymes, growth hormones, organic acids, under based agroecosystems imperative for utilizing potential microbes best manner. This review highlights pragmatic technological option tripartite goal food-nutritional security, environmental stewardship/quality, agricultural profitability different agroecosystems.

Abstract Excessive use of synthetic chemicals in conventional agriculture largely degraded the agroecosystems that constitute approximately 40% global terrestrial ecosystems. Moreover, changing climate resulted a substantial loss agricultural productivity (both quantity and quality) mainly due to diverse abiotic biotic stresses. This draws public awareness about depleting natural resources, viz., soil, land, water unsustainable practices equivalently concerns for food‐related animal human health risks. Modern organic has shown positive impacts terms food/biomass production, resilience, soil health, biodiversity, nutritional security, good quality life; is prodigious demand nutrient‐rich food products. In ensuing decade, owing principal focus aspects or benefits agriculture, this review explores how interventions affect value yield production system; enable plants adapt adverse futuristic environmental conditions, address security challenges. The chronological emergence, current status, perceptions, key components with their attached are inextricably synthesized herein. Fostering ethos under UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021–2030) highly imperative agroecosystem restoration its sustainable management. multidimensional paybacks help attaining important goals targets such as Bonn Challenge United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN‐SDGs) by year 2030. Therefore, invigorating escalation farming concurrent strategy ecosystem need hour.

The growing movement of 'regenerative agriculture' (RA) claims to provide a way adapt changing climate by regenerating landscapes while meeting the social and economic needs farmers their communities. Current research suggests that through application socio-ecological (SES) principles, RA can build farmer's sense ability successfully manage land for range outcomes changes, also known as farming self-efficacy. Further, it is argued increasing self-efficacy, experience improved wellbeing. Up until now, role self-efficacy potential wellbeing pathway has only been examined in qualitative literature. We address this gap two-part exploratory study Australian graziers. Firstly, we undertake an factor analysis (EFA) identify measure principles. then use examine whether mediates effect engaging on three different measures subjective (hedonic wellbeing, eudaimonic evaluative wellbeing). Results EFA identified two-factor structure These were labelled "holistic planning monitoring" "prioritising landscape regeneration". Only latter was strongly associated with selfefficacy Mediation tested separate SEM analyses. Findings showed positive relationship between regeneration" all significantly mediated Our results are consistent hypothesis regenerative agriculture may support long-term adaptation climatic variability building
