Despite dealing with numerous challenges, the agricultural sector in Bangladesh is consistently growing every year because of crop intensification efforts many areas to ensure food security. However, effect intensive cropping on land use changes remains unclear due lack systematic monitoring. This study assesses Land Use Cover (LULC) dynamics, particularly Bhanga Upazila (a subdistrict), Bangladesh, using remote sensing and GIS technologies.Landsat 5 8 satellite imagery understand impact from 1988 2023.This showed that utilization was increased by more than five times (551.8%)and built-up area expanded 155.6% during period. This substantial conversion expected significant decrease barren waterbodies 63.1% 72.4% at same time respectively.Despite fact a typical rural place where agriculture had only 5% (1012 ha) share its total (20,309 back 1988, experienced notable surge over past three decades 5.0% 32.5% 2023, temporary dip 2.4% post devastating flood 1999.The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) Water (NDWI) analyses justify increase zones, contrasting as detected RF (Random Forest) machine learning algorithm. These findings reveal initiatives convert lands into croplands.Government policies supports such various extension activities, availability irrigation facilities, adaptation technologies, improved regional connectivity likely contributed this positive transformation. This offers crucial insights for policymakers take region-specific customized strategies security sustainability.

Abstract This study was designed to unearth the beliefs, practices, and management of safe drinking water Munda Rajbangshi indigenous communities. To apprehend water-related behaviour practice, qualitative approach followed where 20 in-depth interviews were carried out among communities in Shyamnagar Kaliganj Upazila (sub-district) Satkhira district, Bangladesh. Findings indicate that intrusion saline due climate-induced changes led a scarcity potable for both last few decades. Bangladesh is extremely vulnerable to climate change, and vegetation indices serve as sensitive indicators. Due the impacts of cropping intensity Southern region very low. So, this study aimed analyze changes in cover over time using Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) identify use Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) technologies benefits such technologies. A questionnaire survey was carried out by purposive random sampling method detect 120 farmers’ socioeconomic status, hazards faced adopted smart agricultural practices its for assessing Adaptive Strategy (ASI) Amtali upazila Barguna district Kalapara Patuakhali district. NDVI analysis multi-spectral remote sensing data from 2012 2022 indicated extent sparse has increased. Western part upazila, fallow areas have become lessened (354.55 km2) compared (368.78 due adopting different CSA practices. Saline-tolerant crop varieties, sunflowers, watermelon cultivation were highest ranked among practices, with 301, 300, 296 ASI, respectively. Calculated weighted average reduction production cost, increased family income (49.19%) (51.67%), which developed social bonding.
