There
is
increasing
evidence
that
competent

on

fitness.

this
review,
we
explore
the
social
behavior
of
fruit
fly
Drosophila
melanogaster
,
integrating
mechanistic,
ecological
and
evolutionary
perspectives.
Despite
its
status
as
a
major
laboratory
model
organism,

by
