In the preservation of water-rich foods, especially meat, spoilage can occur due to bacterial contamination and oxidative degradation. This study aimed determine structural characteristics synthesis chitosan-graft-pomegranate extract (CS-g-POM) hydrogel using a cost-effective biobased method develop antibacterial antioxidant pads. The use of conductive hydrogels in flexible electronics has gained significant attention recent years. However, the performance traditional is often hindered by dehydration at elevated temperatures and structural rigidity when frozen low temperatures. In this study, we developed a double-network hydrogel consisting ionically crosslinked pectin covalently polyacrylamide (PAAm) networks. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis revealed highly interconnected porous microstructure, which contributes to enhanced mechanical strength flexibility hydrogel. Through solvent exchange process, PAAm-pectin was transformed into an organo-gel immersing it binary system ethylene glycol water. incorporation significantly improved hydrogel’s temperature tolerance, imparting superior anti-freezing anti-drying properties. resulting organogel exhibited remarkable transparency, excellent flexibility, sustained ionic conductivity even as −40°C. These attributes highlight promising candidate for next-generation electronic devices, where stability under extreme conditions essential.

Abstract A remarkable one‐third of global food production is wasted, resulting in significant economic damage and escalating insecurity. To address this sustainability challenge, freshness identification packaging using intelligent materials has gained traction. This work introduces a chitosan‐ graft ‐gelatin (CS‐g‐GEL) hydrogel, incorporating pH‐responsive dye, bromothymol blue (BTB), as colorimetric indicator to monitor the spoilage chicken breasts. The successful formulation hydrogels verified FTIR, AFM, SEM, TGA, 1 HNMR characterization techniques. At pH 5 7.4, swelling capacity hydrogel 790% 470%, respectively. rise colony‐forming units (CFU) from 5.5 on day 1–7.4 log CFU g −1 7 indicate microbial activity, carbon dioxide due deteriorating decreases package.
